Nail Capital and Spa Florence

I came here a lot last year and have had generally good experiences. Unfortunately I'm pretty disappointed with the service today. I asked for french tips and got the attached. I initially said they were fine because admittedly im not great with confrontation but after sitting in the car a few minutes I decided to go back in and voice my concern. I showed a picture of a traditional French tip (one of the first on google) and was told that what I got was a french tip and I should have shown the photo as it was an art design and would cost more. I am going to get them redone elsewhere. I probably won't be back here but if someone reading this is planning on going make sure to show a picture of exactly what you want. To their credit the staff was very friendly and I have had good experiences in the past so this may be a one off incident.

I used to come here all the time when they opened and when I lived in nky. Idk what has changed, but it is not even near what it used to be. My nails are really botched. I can’t just come up for fixing because I am at UK. But I will no longer come here. Also it used to cost me $50 plus tip and now it is $70 plus tip, with way worse quality of work and cheap materials. The polish color on my acrylic gel nails isnt fully covering the nails in a lot of areas. The actual nails are so wavy and bumpy. I cannot find a way to get it on picture, but seriously you can see it in person and it is bad. The top coat they used on my nails has ruined the color and it attracts dirt and stays awful. I never had that issue before with matte top coats here. The shape of the nails is not symmetrical in even the slightest, and almost all the top of my nails are slanted. I haven’t gotten my nails done in years so tbh I wasn’t really comfortable saying anything in the moment, and was just trusting the girl because I have gotten probably over 20 full sets here before. I am gonna have to pay someone to fix the waviness and shape and it just isn’t right. I did see 2 girls waiting for their nails to be fixed as well. Clearly quality is no longer a thing here and they are fine doing any nails even if they look awful, bc they make money and don’t tell you the price until the end with a shock. I have added two photos. They are of one nail that has the awful top coat chipped off. I was able to chip it off with another nail. You can see the color i actually chose, vs how the top coat has become stained and ruined the color. I got my nails done on 11/5, they have looked like this since 11/11.

I usually come to this nail salon, as I’ve been coming here since they opened. I’m not sure where the customer service went, but it’s no longer here. Businesses strive with consistency and there is none here anymore. I went in recently and asked for (picture below) and this is the kind of nails I got. These nails are clumpy, not covering my whole nail, and uneven. I also got there at my scheduled time and didn’t get service until an hour after my set schedule appointment. I understand being short staffed, but there’s ways to prevent late services for example if you are short staffed, don’t accept certain appointments. I felt like I got service super late and was really rushed out of there. I got 3 cuts from the woman providing the service. I also mentioned I didn’t like the nails and still was charged $65 + the tip.

I went in here and asked for a full set. I had an appointment at 6:30 and got there at 6:30. They close at 8 and were very rushed. They lady that did mine kept making comments and saying how i should get gel and not doing at all what i asked. Everything looked fine until they started painting them. They looked horrible and she didn’t even paint my whole nail. She put the top coat on and didn’t bother to put it all over my nails. I payed $58 for nothing.

Terrible Service! They don’t take ownership over their staff! I had my nails done with SNS and chrome, the same day, The chrome came off. The sns came off as well in some spots! I went back so they could fix it. They did gel on top of the S&S. The lady kept saying, tge colors don’t match, I said yes, it looks awful, she refused to redo my nails! Now the gel is coming off and they just say that they can put the chrome back on my nails! They refused to fix my nails. I spent $62, never again will I go to this place!!

Within 2 days my gel manicure was already chipping. Would not recommend for the very poor quality.

I have been to many nail places and I'm someone who dosnt mind the atmosphere or if someone talking to me or not. I simply look for quality and fair prices. By far this salon has my top vote! I usually get dip and am in love with ombre styles, and I'm never disappointed! I have had 0 problems with these nails and have not had it chip, break, or fall off for the 1 year I been going here, and I'm amaze how long they have last going from 3-5 weeks! Truly, the people who work there take their time and are amazing at their job. I will always be going here for any occasion I may have in the future. Also, this place is always very clean and just in general compared to the ones I have been too just a nice place to spend time and getting amazing top-tier nail work!!!

Beautiful place. Staff was friendly. Man who did my nails was very quiet the whole time. I'm not much of a small talker to strangers so I didn't mind this, but that quiet awkwardness may bother some. Nails look perfect and are exactly what I wanted besides my left index finger. It wasn't smooth and had a big dip in it I noticed after I left. It has already chipped in that week spot on day two 😭😭😭 I tipped him $11 and I'm gonna have to go back just to get this one nail fixed. I have three toddlers and their father is working a lot right now so I don't even know when I can make it up there again.
