Jenna is an incredible hairdresser! I first found her actually looking through reviews for Art & Autonomy. I previously tried another place around the area and the person had completely messed up my haircut so I felt incredibly cautious. The review thst I read about Jenna seemed good so I went. We initially started with a haircut and Jenna was very informative and detailed on what she thought would shape my face nicely. And since that day and that hair I (and my hair) trust her COMPLETELY. The second time we dyed my hair from natural black to a gorgeous cherry cola red - it’s the perfect colour that suits my skin tone and does not ruin my hair health. Now when I see her I don’t even specify what I want she just knows. I feel that since then (it’s been a year now) I’ve become more confident about how I look and feel - her energy is so positive and fun. Definitely worth the hype (I kind of don’t want to share how good she is out of my own selfish intentions in case she doesn’t have time for me anymore !! 🤣🤣🤣) The price varies depending on what I’m doing (whether just haircut, haircut and gloss, or haircut gloss and treatment) Ranges between $100-$500

I LOVE this salon. I’ve been coming for about a year for hair cuts and keratin treatments. Addam is a miracle worker. I’m obsessive about my keratin and he is too! His work is absolutely meticulous. Plus he is a lovely and kind human!! I can’t recommend him enough. The salon is also a beautiful and welcoming space which creates a calming and loving energy. It’s just such a good vibe! Highly recommend.

I booked an appointment with Jenna recently to chop off my medium length hair into a bob. Now, I'm not normally one to leave reviews, but never in my life have I ever gotten so many compliments on a haircut! Jenna was wonderful throughout the process. She took time to really understand what my hair goals were and it felt like a collaborative process. I felt like she really listened to what I wanted, and delivered exactly what I was hoping for...and I'm so grateful! I highly recommend her. Thank you, Jenna!

It’s worth traveling into SoHo for the excellence and vision. Creative, professional, current, personalized options are offered and then executed with clarity, kindness, and highest levels of skill.

My hair still looks so bad. My color is ruined and my blow out was still wet when I left and my hair way ridiculously puffy. Waste of money, time and severely has affected my well being. My hair is embarrassing and depresses me. Idk how you guys get away with what you do or how you think your work is great but my hair looked and still looks terrible. Proper guidance is needed. Not improper co-signing “It looks great!” Please care about your clients and your job. Know what you’re doing, know how to guide and teach and double check your work. I wouldn’t post my before and after either-don’t blame your guys. Very upset and surprised.

I lived with orange brassy highlights for years UNTIL I met Jenna. She just gets the color right every single time. Plus my hair has never felt healthier. Highly recommend especially for my brown girlies.

I saw Jenna for a haircut for the visit time in 2023 during a visit to the city. Since moving to Manhattan, Jenna has become my go to hair stylist. She has a kind and welcoming energy and takes the time to consult with you on your vision and make sure you are on the same page. Jenna has a keen attention to detail and I especially appreciate her curly hair expertise. I leave looking great with the perfect curly bob every time I book with her! It is always a lovely experience getting my hair cut by Jenna and I highly recommend her to anyone looking!

I wouldn’t trust anyone other than Art + Autonomy Salon with my hair. Jeffrey Jagling is an artist and a magician. He completely understood me and what I wanted. Unfortunately, having experienced far less than pleasing haircuts from other salons in the past, I fully understand, appreciate and urge the importance of listening to the customer. I put my full and complete trust in his hands, and I was so thrilled with my hair when I left. I've never felt so comfortable and relaxed in a salon before having the certainty that the hairdresser knew what he was doing and was going to listen to me. Not only is Jeffrey the nicest guy, but he is truly talented at his craft. Art + Autonomy Salon is by far the best salon with the best hair stylists. The salon is clean, sleek, and beautiful. They greet you warmly with a smile, take your coat, and offer you a drink. Jeffrey gave amazing advice when I was uncertain what I wanted with my hair. He was extremely patient while I explained what I didn’t want and showed him photos. Jeffrey was able to give my hair amazing style while keeping it in line with what he knew I’d be comfortable with and love. I’ve also had my hair cut by Tom, and he fully listened to me and did exactly what I asked. It’s so nice finally to be able to trust someone with scissors and your hair. I've had so many compliments just in the last couple days, and this haircut makes me feel more confident, fresh, healthy, and beautiful. I highly recommend you go here.

Amazing bob from Jenna! She gave me a great cut, but first and foremost I appreciated that she took the time to listen to me about my hair so she could take the best approach to the cut. I’m 43 this year, so my hair type and behavior is not foreign to me but I’ve often felt dismissed when trying to explain all of this to a new stylist. I have pin straight hair, it goes limp very quickly. Too much product weighs me down, and too much graduation in a bob gives me helmet head. Jenna sat with me and discussed all of these factors before sending me for a really nice wash, and then giving me a beautiful cut that perfectly met my expectations. Everyone I encountered at this salon was lovely. I’ll definitely return!
