I’ve been coming to Brilliant Nails, Tom’s River for over 2 years now, and I can honestly say it’s the best nail salon I’ve ever been to! Danny always does such an amazing job on my nails, he pays attention to every little detail and always makes sure I leave happy. My nails come out perfect every single time, whether I go for something simple or more creative. The salon is always clean, welcoming, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. I’ve recommended Brilliant Nails to so many of my friends because the service is truly top-notch. If you’re looking for a place that consistently delivers great results, ask for Danny, you won’t be disappointed!

This was the first time I been to this shop. And I was really excited because it was my birthday and I don't get my nails done often. I was sat at number 4 and wanted a full set. The lady I had rushed my nails. I could tell because she didn't even cut my cuticles she just hurried into the full. Along the way she kept making small comments for me to relax my hand, tell me I have too much tension in my hand and even asked me if it was my first time getting my nails done. It wasn't but I said yes because I was a bit surprised that she was even making those comments. After the appointment I felt disappointed because while the color was nice thanks to my last minute decision to get chrome you can tell if was rushed and the acrylic was wide and not even but of course "that's my fault" for having to much tension in my hand. I'm not a complainer and I don't like to leave reviews especially poor ones. But I will personally never go back to that place. Everyone else seemed to be getting rockstar treatment so why wasn't I? Especially on my birthday. But don't let my bad experience stop you from going. I would just avoid the lady at station 4. I attached some photos of my nails. They don't look bad from far away but up close you can really see the rushed look of being to wide and not even. I just wanted to be obsessed with my nails. But they're just "okay" I'm going to buy my own file and fix them myself.k

I work in retail and do not have a normal schedule so I am always a walk-in appointment and just sit with the next available. With this, I have never had a bad experience at Brilliant Nails. All technicians there are great.

I typically only leave positive reviews, but I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience. On July 13th, I brought my two daughters here for my daughter’s birthday. While the gentleman who did their nails was great and the girls had fun, the quality of the service was lacking. Within five days, five of my daughter's gel nails fell off. I called the salon, and while the owner offered to fix them, my daughter didn’t want to return, especially after being cut during the service. I went to the salon a few days after speaking to the owner on the phone and requested a refund after paying over $70, but was only offered $20 back, which was insulting.the owner then convinced me too bring her in and they will take good care of her. We decided to wait until school started. when I called to schedule it, the owner wasn’t too accommodating. He mentioned that too much time had passed, despite never being told there was a time limit. At this point, my daughter no longer wants to go back, and I’m left feeling extremely disappointed. All I wanted was a refund, but the experience has been nothing but frustrating.

I wanted to love this place. Let me start by saying I usually see Sandy and she was on vacation. She does a GREAT job. I’ve never had an issue with her work. That said, this is the third time I’ve been here getting a pedicure while someone was either on their phone talking on speaker phone or talking on FaceTime the entire time. I can’t imagine working there and not saying to someone literally having a convo for all to hear. It’s so rude and inconsiderate. I come to the nail salon to relax, not to learn what Sharon next to me with no manners is having for dinner. That said, I got a gel fill today and a gel pedicure. The lady did an okay job but one nail was super lumpy. I went back to have it fixed and it was super rushed. They scraped off the half of the nail that was lumpy and threw some clear polish on it. They didn’t even take the time to put the same color on, so now half the nail is basically clear. I tipped the woman $30 for a gel fill and a gel pedicure that was mediocre while I listened to someone else’s convo. I hate leaving the nail salon feeling like it wasn’t worth the money I spent. The polish and gel is also all over my fingers and they didn’t take the time to get any of the dead skin off my fingers.

I came to this place on lunch break and the workers were arguing about who had the next client not only did someone start my manicure she asked me to go to the guy and he was very rough and angry doing my nails and I didn't like that and just paid and walked out. Didn't even give me the requested style I wanted and was still mad even though I sat in his chair to get my nails done.. You cant be brilliant and the workers was frustrated. If i wasn't on the clock for work it would have been up from there because his customer service sucked and he expected a tip and I always tip. Sorry you wont man handle me... Out the door you got to go.. bye bye

I totally went a different style this time . Usually, I get square shapes but decided to try everything different than is my plain and simple look.. Also, the Ombre French is completely new and a 1st with that, and I love them exactly what I asked for.. New place, new person , fresh new set & oval shape . Higher prices but WORTH IT !!! .💯💜 💅😊🩷🤍

This was probably the worst experience I have had. I came here on 5/5/2025 at about 9:45 Am ish. The lady who did my pedicure (brown sweatshirt with pink writing on it) was clearly in a terrible mood, and she was HORRIBLE at hiding it. I have been here before and never had a bad experience until I had this woman. She also burned me with the hot rocks (I have been getting pedicures for years; I know they're hot, but this was way too hot). I told her, and she dismissed it, just saying, "It's probably just the shock of it." No it was too hot. She had a terrible attitude. I'm the least likely person to complain; I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she is having a bad day. But then it just got worse and worse.

Horrible! Diana, the nail tech was very unprofessional and very rude. She did not take her time and she had no clue what she was doing. After expressing how unsatisfied I was with her work to the owner, He still charged me full price. I do not recommend I will not be going back again
