My experience was amazing and I will definitely going back! In fact I already set up a follow up appointment for my bangs in a few weeks. I have wavy textured hair too and my stylist knew exactly how to handle it. She did the full curly hair method instead of using hot tools on my hair and I absolutely love how my hair turned out. The vibe is very soothing and friendly and everyone was super nice. Id definitely recomend going here if you want a good experience that wont break the bank!!

Taylar did my hair and she is the best thing that’s ever happened to me!! She is truly amazing at coloring hair, i recommend her to everyone! I’ve thrown some wrenches her way and she’s is amazing at anything she’s ever done, down to cuts color you name it!! She’s my Angel truly!

You know I just read a review I wrote about one of the Trixie's salons I visited when I moved back to my home city of Des Moines. I have lived in Phoenix for 35+ years, but on to my story. I wrote a review about the southside salon and Trisha's retort back to me I simply could not handle. I heard about her background from someone that actually knew her. They filled me in on alot of things that I was not aware of but didnt surprise me. The girl did a horrible job and charged me an unG--dly amount for doing said horrible job. The reason I was late is because I couldnt find the shop. The "signage" was lacking off the major road and on the actual salon. I understand that is easier to make a "name" for yourself in a smaller community!! I have never before or since heard of anybody charging for how many containers of color or bleach that you use on a client's hair. The massage is a good idea but not after telling someone that they didnt have time to actually do what I asked them to do beforehand! I have had and still have a wonderful person that does my hair and has actually won many national awards for doing that. She actually had a good laugh when I told her what your practices were. I still have family living in Des Moines and are right up there in the goverment and the social elite of Des Moines. I made sure, after my fiasco at your salon, that I told them what had happened... my total experience and your written reaction to my review was. I see that your southside salon has closed. I am so sorry!

Absolutely wonderful experience and fantastic haircut! This was my first time at Trixies Salon. First of all, I love that they donate to support local schools. I won their free hair cut at the Waukee Schools Foundation fundraiser. I was a little nervous trying a new place but from the second I walked in the door I was at ease. Their warm greating and happy vibe set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. They even gave me a snack! 😆 I am a fan and highly recommend you give it a try. Kate gave me the exact hair cut I asked for. She asked so many questions and genuinely listened to my answers. I will be scheduling all 3 of my daughters for a hair cut. Oh, total bonus! I bought 6 shirts from the boutique and had to resist buying all the earrings. Give them a try! You will be happy you did!
