I needed a haircut while traveling. The first place I went to didn't cut my hair the way I like and I needed it "fixed". I made an appointment and was in the chair roughly a hour later. The stylist that fixed my haircut was attentive and proficient. She absolutely took care of my issue.

The lady was rude and didn't listen to what was wanted or what number Clipper guard to use and shaved my head to the skin. I use a wheelchair when out and about at times but able to stand and walk short distances, she moved the barber chair and refused to let me sit in it because it was heavy to move. She never asked me my preference.

Got a terrible haircut here and was so frustrated. I normally go to a more upscale salon but just needed a couple of inches cut off and, since my hair is all one length (no layers, no bangs, center part), I figured I'd have no problem getting my hair cut straight across the bottom at Great Clips. My Mom (a non-pro) occasionally cuts it for me and does a good job, except that she takes forever. I wasn't in the mood to sit for an hour to have her do it, so decided to chance it at Great Clips, thinking that surely the pros there who do this all day, every day, could match what my 73 year old Mom can do. Ha. Sadly, the stylist butchered my hair. I wasn't offered a mirror to look at the back, and I didn't think to ask, so I didn't notice the issue until after I got home. It was so bad that I still ended up going straight to my Mom's house to have her fix what she could. (It was a Sun, no other salons open.) She was able to get it 90% better, but now I'm stuck waiting for it to grow out at least an inch or so to have it fully fixed, or else it would have to be cut way too short right now. The back was uneven; there were longer pieces hanging down; when I bent my head down, it was a total and complete mess. I paid $19 at Great Clips and regret so much that I didn't pay the $40ish to get a decent cut elsewhere.

I had a great haircut but forgot the stylist’s name, it may have been Susan. Went back another time & she wasn't there, so had another cut by someone unprofessional in skill and manner. Just called Great Clips to see if their good stylist was working by checking my two phone numbers. Whoever answered said my number wasn’t in their system. So I asked her to check by my name. She had trouble pronouncing my simple name and said “just a minute, I’ll be right back” and hung up on me. 😳 So I really wanted to make an appointment today with the good one if she is there, but I guess this location isn’t into good customer service. Disappointing.

Came in for a quick neck trim and while I was waiting I noticed a little kid was getting his hair cut and he seemed a little nervous- the lady cutting his hair did an amazing job being calm and helping him and showing him everything she was gonna do before she did it- was unsure of her name but she had tattoos and a rose on her hand! It was super sweet to see!

Sadly I cannot remember who did my hair, but she single handedly restored my faith in great clips lol. I have super curly hair for a white dude and most barbers can’t cut it worth a damn with scissors. Well she did an amazing job, super fast, good price, and great conversation, def recommend this location!!

Showed the stylist a photo of a haircut with a good amount left on top and she got to work. Without my glasses I couldn’t tell what she was doing but it felt like a lot off the top. I reminded her that I wanted the top left long and she assured that she was. Got done and got my glasses back and she had taken off a ton, looked nothing like the photo I had shown.

My partner and I went in for some very drastic hair cuts and I can not stress enough what an amazing job our stylists did! We both had very long hair and wanted trendy short cuts. I was not sure exactly how to get the look I wanted and my stylist Sam, talked with me until we settled on a killer cut. So happy, so appreciative, we will both be back.

The app wasn't working properly. I got there early but had been dropped from the system. Definitely try to get there earlier in the day, they're very busy because everyone wants to go there.

Awesome service, Wendi cut ✂️ my hair and did an amazing job!! I'm super pleased with my hair, I used the On-line Check In and only had to wait about 5 minutes to be in the stylists chair telling her how I wanted my haircut done! I will definitely come back again!!

Great staff! I donated 12 or so inches of my hair and they are affiliated with wigs for kids which is a great organization that does not charge people for wigs ( unlike some well known hair donation organizations). Better to check in online so you don't have to wait. Also did a great job styling for me and my wifes hair :)

Every stylist at the Waukee Great Clips location is warm, friendly and they know their craft. I always walk away feeling good about the haircut I receive at this location.

Shannon at Hickman Road location in Waukee is my primary stylist. I’m greeted every time I walk into the location. All the stylist are friendly and outgoing.

I would not recommend coming here if you are a male with course Asian hair. Every time I have gotten my hair cut here I walk out feeling frustrated and wishing I had gone to a barbershop or an Asian salon. No offense to the employees, but their experience is more suited for Caucasian hair.
