Lovely Nails

They were so lovely! My nails look amazing, feel amazing, and they paid so much attention to detail. I loved everything about this. Honestly the best experience I’ve had at a nail salon!

This was the worst experience I have ever had and likely will ever have with acrylic nails. The photos attached below are less than SIX DAYS after having my $70 acrylic nails done. I am extremely careful with my nails because I get so anxious about the possibility of them chipping or worse. My last set from majestic nails here in Sheboygan lasted me 5 weeks with barely a scratch. They lasted so long in fact I had to rip them off myself because I was bored/tired of the design. Less than a week after coming to Lovely Nails the paint is coming off to some degree from nearly every nail, two of my nails have snapped (they must not have been secured well because I did not feel or notice either nail break), and one of them has come almost entirely off!! To be honest, it is my fault for even getting this far in the process, considering how arrogant and lazy the OWNERS of this place were. I was extremely communicative of my needs. I brought multiple reference photos and listed exactly what I wanted my nails to look like. After starting off my description of a regal, celestial design, I was interrupted by the lady and told I should have snowflakes for Christmas. No?? I politely declined and continued with my description. The lady started with applying my nails and I probably should have cut it off when she insulted the shape of my fingers (w.t.f.???) but I hoped it was just professional commentary and moved on. She was very sporadic with the filing but again, trust the professionals, right? This was not at all the worst part. Once the gentleman came out to do my nail designs, I once again was extremely descriptive. I understand a few mistakes, misunderstandings, or errors in communication. I get it. But I had to correct this guy at LEAST 20 times on the designs and they were still not detailed enough. He was unwilling to have any creative freedom and only followed one of my five references despite my constant specifications of what I actually wanted. There were supposed to be ringed planets on two of my fingers which never happened no matter how many times I requested it. Three of my fingers should have been blank entirely. To make matters worse, once he got to my left hand, he got SO lazy. More and more corrections and once again could not get them any more detailed. Whatever. Maybe the design is just too much to ask. Still, where my right hand had finely painted rays on the stars, the left were LITERALLY POINTED BLOBS. The pedicure was fine but the water was either boiling (seriously, I SWEAR I almost burned myself) or cool, no in-between. As someone with a family business, how greedy and irresponsible do you have to be as a person to charge someone over $70 for thoughtlessly painted acrylics? I would have been fine with that price tag if the owners had just communicated better, LISTENED to their client, but no. This is messed up. I went here upon recommendation from a friend who lives in Appleton and to be honest that girl must be crazy. For the cheap pedicure this is a perfect place. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR NAILS THOUGH! STEER CLEAR!!

I am absolutely so frustrated and disappointed with how awful my nails came out. I showed the simple photo I wanted created...they weren’t the same length, shape, and you can clearly tell they are crooked & bent upwards. They didn’t file or trim my cuticles when I asked nor did I get to wash my hands so there were bumps all throughout the polish. I just want to be refunded, I’m so saddened. UPDATE- I reached out to them and they refused my money back, only to redo them, but I did not want to go through that awful experience again. Very rude.

I have never had an experience this bad with getting nail services in all my 20+ years of getting my nails done. A lot happened, including what I feel was some racism, but I won’t go into that and will give you the bullet points. - Charged me an extra $5 to remove gel polish - Did no cuticle work on my toes for the pedicure. (Dead skin still on my toes and feet, see pics) - Did not use any cuticle softener, sea salt, or anything to make it a “Spa” experience like most nails salons I have went to. The girl took the cheese grater straight to my feet, no cuticle softener or anything, I thought she was going to cut my feet! - Nails were shaped ok, but the polish was very thick and blotchy. Had to ask the tech to correct it several times. - Did not put any cuticle oil on my nails. Once the gel was done drying, the tech literally waved at me in a dismissive tone and told me I was done. Nails still have crust on them, (see pics) - Then had the nerve to get upset when I did not give a tip! I expected better for the $90 dollars I paid. I hope my review prevents people, especially of color, from going in there and being treated the way I was.

Lovely family owned business. You aren't just a customer to them they enjoy doing what they do. Very friendly, creative, and accommodating. I walked in and asked John if he had any Halloween ideas. You can tell he enjoyed doing them as much as I enjoyed getting them done.

Always a great experience at Lovely Nails! Everyone is so warm and welcoming, and my daughter and I have always had a positive experience. This is my go-to nail salon! Just got a gel pedicure done today and I was out within 40 minutes. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality experience 😊.

Lovely Nails is an excellent place for manicures and pedicures. The salon is clean, comfortable, friendly and professional. I have been a client for 15 years and have never had a bad experience. Johnny and Anne are truly wonderful people who work hard to give you the very best service.

So disappointed. My pedicure was 20 minutes maybe total. No massage and the polish looked horrible. Was never offered any other options. So sad!!!

Never will I go back. Had my nails done 1 week ago and they were so thin, gel polish left under my nails, nail art done like a 2 year old did them. Went back today to have them fixed and all they did was glue them and made then even thinner. And mind you 1 had an apt at 4. And they took someone for a fullest right b4 I walked in.
