Reflections of You Fairfax Hair Salon

I came in to the salon May 21st to get blonde highlights for my wedding with Keyana. After 4 hours in the salon and a whopping $420 spent, my roots looked like they’d been growing out for two months already. I then had to spend another couple hundred dollars to get my hair fixed at a salon in Indiana where my wedding was because I could not keep it looking like this. I reached out to the manager for compensation for this inconvenience and added stress to my wedding week but no response. Really wasn’t planning on having to accommodate more time in a hair salon right before my wedding (or the added expense to fix it). I’m very very disappointed.

Just moved back to the northern VA area and needed a new stylist. Felt overwhelmed by the multitude of hair salons on the area. I came to Reflection of You & I was randomly set to have an appointment with Belinda. To make a long story short, it was the best hair appointment I've ever had. She was so down to earth and gave me a honest recommendation on what to do with my hair. You could easily tell she is so experienced in her profession and loves what she does. She made my day and I couldn't recommend her enough to anyone and everyone. THANK YOU BELINDA!!

It took a few cancellations on both of our parts before I got in with Keyanna, but she was worth the wait. I came into the salon with very dry, frizzy hair and left with soft touchable hair and exactly the haircut I wanted. What's more, she took the time to educate me on how to style/hydrate my hair to enhance my natural texture, including how to wash, how and when to apply various products, what kind of brush to use, etc. She also stopped at various times during the haircut to show me the length in the back, which I wish more stylists would do. I NEVER buy salon products, but today I bought all three styling products she recommended for me. It was a very personalized experience that I won't forget.

First - Keyanna does a great job. This is one of the the best cuts that I have ever had. The salon seems to have problems in scheduling appointments. I say this because each of the two times that I have been, the front desk contacted me to see if I could change my appointment time. Also - be aware that the price on the website says $xx And UP. So ask what the “up” price is before you show up.

keyanna is AMAZING!! i haven’t been to a hair salon in almost 2 years, and this was my first time here. keyanna made me feel so comfortable, she explained everything to me in great detail and taught me so much about my hair and how to maintain it. she honestly changed everything for me!! my hair is so much healthier now and i finally know how to style it daily thanks to her :) i could not recommend this place more!

I have been to this salon three times and scheduled with Keyanna each visit. She is such a sweetheart and she seems to be like a truly honest, straight-shooter type of girl. The first time I went to the salon, I felt like I was in an "emergency" hair situation. My hair was streaked with fire engine red highlights from another salon on top of a fresh keratin treatment. Keyanna advised me that I must wait to get the color fixed because I just received a keratin treatment. But, she saved me temporarily! She told me to buy a certain hair root spray to cover up the red until she could fix it without damaging my hair. During the next appointment, she made my hair look beautiful, just like I imagined. I asked for black hair with dark purple face framing highlights, with a few peekaboo streaks added at the back of my hair. The colors turned out lovely. For my third visit, I decided to just keep it simple with black hair. However, the purple highlights still peaked through later on and still looked lovely. I highly recommend scheduling with Keyanna!!! She's magical with hair <3 Also, she gave me some free hair shampoo and conditioner samples (: (: (:

Always a great experience at Reflections of You! Keyanna has been my stylist for a while now, and she always does an amazing job. She takes the time to educate her clients on the best and healthiest ways to get the results they want. I have never left without feeling amazing!

I was initially nervous going into my appointment as I had never been to this salon before. I scheduled my appointment with Yea, and she was fantastic! I didn't have to wait, they had a hand sanitizing station, and the salon was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Yea started the appointment with a consultation about my hair, she was very thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable. She explained what she was doing every step of the way. Lauren was my hair and provided a very relaxing experience. The overall experience was great and I already made my follow up appointment with Yea.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience as a first time customer. Approximately 45 mins wait time despite the appointment time and no courtesy shown either by the hair stylist or the front desk acknowledging the long wait , instead the front desk person was dismissive of my concern and made me feel that it happens and I should be accommodating. The hairsytlist saw me sitting there but did not even care to exchange a look or come up to see if I was okay waiting more as she was still finishing blow drying for another customer. I am very high on customer service ethics and sadly it didn't meet the bar. I wont be returning to this place.

The staff is friendly and nice, but if you have curly hair, I wouldn't recommend it. They are more experts with colors and straight hair. They couldn't work with my curls, either styling or flat ironing it. I have two chances to style my hair, and it gets worse. Unfortunately, I am not going back.
