The salon and products are terrific. Mirsada is a master stylist. Truly. She's cut and styled my hair for around a decade now. Always the best! Can't recommend highly enough - she is amazing!

My experience with Hajir was great! This was my first experience at a curly hair salon, but other hair salons just don’t know how to cut my fine, curly/wavy hair. After a short consultation, she decided a dry cut would be best because I’m growing it out and didn’t to cut too much off. She explained each step and product that she was using on my hair, which I really appreciated. I ended up buying the shampoo because I got a 20% discount as a first time customer. My hair turned out great!

I got a haircut at this salon that was okay, but when she started styling, it was awful. She didn’t know how to curl my hair, she left it mostly frizzy and straight with a few curls, and then blamed it on my hair. That makes no sense because I style it perfectly at home and other salons have done an amazing job. She also didn’t apply enough cream and I’m shocked she even calls herself a curly hairstylist. Please save your money and go to another salon. Extremely disappointed.

Wanted my hair to look fabulous for an event and booked a Rake & Shake with Joelis…My expectations were far exceeded. Curls looked phenomenal, even though I’m due for a trim and style maintained nicely for day two. I rarely wear my hair down & saw a bunch of friends on day two, that haven’t previously seen it down…Got SO MANY Compliments 🥰 I immediately booked my cut with Joelis in a few weeks, which I’m looking forward to.

I was so frustrated with my hair and dealing with the transition from keratin straightened hair to my natural hair. She found a cut for my hair which encourages the curl and gave awesome advice. I’ve worn my hair down every day since the cut and I’m so excited to cut off the last few inches of straightened hair. She also styled my hair for me, so I learned how to style it wavy/curly. If this haircut didn’t work I was thinking about getting the keratin again to make life easier, so this was an awesome experience for me. My hair still has some straight pieces but I’ll be back soon to remove them once it grows a bit more

My most recent visit to the salon in NYC was nothing shy of perfect however I do favor the original location uptown rather than lower east side. Ayanna cut my hair, I can’t wait to go back!

I went to the flagship salon and paid extra for a “master” stylist unfortunately I absolutely hate the haircut. The stylist was absolutely lovely but the haircut not so much. Because of their wonderful personality I don’t want to mention their name. It’s been several long months of trying to grow out the haircut and every day I’m wearing my hair in a ponytail since it looks so bad and now I’m scared to get another haircut. I’ve been trying to grow it long and this haircut has put that dream off at least another year 🙁
