Great Clips

While you expect all Great Clips experiences are the same, this one shines brighter than most! The manager is fabulous, and helped me embrace my curls after fighting them most of my life. The chatter is exciting and feels like a salon from the best daytime TV drama! I highly recommend this Great Clips!

The lady who cut my hear was really sweet she was super nice and did a great job and even dapped us up for a hug at the end lol. Great service will be coming back!

The place forces you to pay minimum 25 percent tip every time

I like the convenient concept, however I did not feel welcomed in the store and experienced a cold atmosphere. A smile can make a difference. Hair cut for my son considering the price was ok.

I went to Great Clips for the first time today and was promptly seen by Amber. I needed a simple cut of about 5 inches off and she did a great job, exactly as I wanted it. She was very pleasant as was the other lady on staff. Great value for a simple haircut! Will definitely go back. For those in a hurry, I learned you can also check-in online before you arrive to reserve your spot in line.

Sabrina is the best. I liked my short hair cutting. If you check in online, you do not need to wait more than 5 minutes. I love Great Clip in Carrboro Plaza.

I advise avoiding Sarah. She was quick to greet me, but did not do a good job cutting my hair. I asked her for a trim to remove my split ends, and I suggested cutting 2 inches to make sure they were gone. She divided my hair into 3 sections, cut them flat across, and was done in 5 minutes. I have long layered hair and it typically takes 10-15 minutes to trim it, so I was pretty surprised at how quickly she asked if I was satisfied with the cut. At that point, I noticed a lot of split ends remaining and asked if she could cut more. She took an additional minute to only cut the areas I pointed out and again asked if I was satisfied. I again told her that I could still see split ends and that I didn't mind if she took off more than 2 inches to remove more of the split ends. She got really quiet and again only cut the areas I pointed to. Finally I gave up and said the cut was fine because I didn't want her to get irritated with scissors around my head lol. In conclusion, my experiences with other stylists at this location have been great in the past; so I will be sure to request someone other than Sarah for future visits.

We really love Great Clips. Although over the last three years we've seen a lot of different people, neither my husband nor I has ever had a bad cut. The cuts they do have always been well done, and grow out very well too. And the staff are always friendly and kind. So we just wouldn't go anywhere else.

Open hour were till 6pm. Register online through app and had an appointment. Showed up as schedule 5:15pm. The worker told me they were closing early. She also turned away several other people. She’s wasn’t rude but wasn’t helpful. Explanation was this location needs two to be working in order to remain open. I spent my time and gas to drive there and my son had an important event the next day. Requested the manger to call and received no call yet. Very unprofessional!

Checked online to see the wait time at this Great Clips and it said 5 minutes. They close at 6 pm. I left the house at 5:10pm and arrived 5:20pm. There were two people in the chairs getting their hair cut and no one else in the place. They said it was too late to get a haircut. Wow - I won't be going back to this location.
