Great Clips

I get my hair cut by Haven at Great Clips and they are WONDERFUL! Always personable, always listening to what I want and always checking in to see if there’s anything I’d like changed. They often say ‘You’re allowed to be picky about your hair!’ Thank you Haven!

Kaitlynn did an amazing job cutting my hair! I got a chop!!! I was nervous about doing this and it was somewhat a last second decision, but she made sure it was perfect for me. She was so attentive to detail, kind, and supportive. You’d think it was simply a hair cut, but it was a lot more to me during a stressful time!

The stylist behind the front desk was wonderful, as she really listened to what I wanted and what I did *not* want. She was patient and friendly. I left satisfied, with the haircut I wanted.

EDIT: I, unfortunately, have to take away my five star review. I came in for my regular fix-up after the DISASTER back in April (which cost me a job interview and multiple situations of hate and outright violence - I happen to live in an ultra conservative neighborhood with some VERY judgmental people). I sat down and communicated the regular but with slightly shorter tapering at the bottom to help with hair growth. What I ended up with was the back of my head almost completely shaved off. Then when asking someone else to fix it, she kept going on about blending when I said I didn't want it. Keep in mind these are the same people who have been fixing my last botched haircut for 3 months now. I selected them specifically because they worked with me before, but now they suddenly don't remember me. No more Great Clips for me. I can do better with a hand mirror and shave (and I have). OLD: I had one of the worst haircuts of my life at the Tillotson location. I came back to McGalliard needing help and they were incredibly kind and professional. They couldn't salvage my hair but they did what they could so I could at least leave the house. For context, I had a long pixie and was looking for a bang trim. The Tillotson location cut 5+ inches off of every side EXCEPT the front. I was left with blunt layers only an inch long just sticking out of my head. Also, it's my birthday and graduation next week, which is why I wanted a cute cut. The McGalliard stylists did their best to keep me calm as I panicked and bawled my eyes out. I was nearly sick but they definitely made the experience, well, still not bearable but not as gut-wrenching as it could have been. It at the very least made a difference and I will always be grateful for their patience and compassion. They even offered me a free follow-up cut to help reshape the hair as it grows back out even though they weren't the ones who messed up. They didn't have to do that but they did. Life lesson: never go to Tillotson to try and save time. There's a reason they never have a wait. Just be patient and go to McGalliard. Your hair and heart will thank you. I can't remember my stylist's or the manager's name, but thank you. 🫶

I had came in for a haircut and ended up getting my hair washed and condition! I loved my visit and my hair felt better leaving. She recommended a curl defuser and I ended up buying it! I love bed head!

Had a great stylist whom took care of my haircut needs. We were sharing stories of knee and back pain together since we were both hurting.

I am not super picky about my hair, so your mileage may vary. Check in online, get in and out in a timely manner without issue. Never had a cut that was bad. Stylists are friendly if you want to talk but not talkative if you don't try to have a conversation.

Took my mom in to get hair washed and cut. The cut was good but the washing of hair was bad. By the time my mom's hair was done being washed the whole back side of her clothes were wet. Won't got back there again.

If someone brings their child in for a haircut and says "Just a trim, NOTHING more" that does NOT mean to cut layers into that child's hair and make them look stupid because you thought it would look better. Katelyn, the so called manager cut my son's hair and decided to put in layers without consent. Would REALLY love to know who made her think she can do what she wants with other people's children. Truly unprofessional and completely ridiculous.

I usually go to Great Clips at the Tillotson Avenue location but, I was limited on time and on the opposite side of town. I've been at the location on McGalliard Road before so, I felt comfortable with my decision. I'd just had a thorough hair cut not long ago so, I'd just stopped in for the front/top of my hair to be shaped up and I was very pleased with the service provided by Jennifer. To make this visit even better was to see the familiar face of Michael, the manager from the Tillotson Avenue location. It's great news to hear that he's now transferred his position to this location.

No signs where it say that you can't use 50 or 100 dollars. And it 20 dollars just for a little trim

It's a hairdresser. You can book online to avoid a wait. They do cuts quickly if you have a cut that requires no scissors, which I do. I'm really happy with the services they provide. Been at least 4 times and they record your normal cut, so you don't even have to tell them.

Walked in with no wait. Great! However it was down hill from there. We talked about cut and the stylist completely missed what I had in mind. Cut it SO SHORT. I told her I had just bought a new curling brush. No way will I be able to use it now. I learned my lesson. Won't go there again!!

Wait times can be lengthy, so try to go at a less busy time ;) The girls are great there and do such a wonderful job cutting my boys hair
