I’d give Zero Stars if I could!!! I went to this salon thinking they knew what they were doing. Wrong! First visit of 2 I left with my hair just as dark as I went in and had to pay 310.00 after I sat in the chair for more than 7 hours. They insisted another couple visits and I’d get SAFELY where I wanted in color. Plus I was told it would be half of what I paid for my next visit. Ten weeks later I paid 355.00 and left lighter but a lot of my hair fell out in the salon sink, and then continued to break off it was so heavily damaged. They had 4 people stepping in to do my hair because they overbooked. I had to ask several times about over processing time because they kept stepping away to do other clients. They threw some curl in my hair so I didn’t notice until the next day that none of my 2 inch grey roots were touched. This visit I once again had to sit for another 7 hours and again listen to all the employees talking about their sex lives in some graphic language. This is totally unprofessional! And, It’s anything but a relaxing visit. When I called to complain and get them to do their job and take care of my roots, I was told I’d have to pay another 110.00 for my roots. Totally unacceptable! so I had to demand they take care of it “or else”, and finally they reluctantly did. In 2 months though my hair became very Orange and extremely course, but I was overseas so I was forced to wear a lot of hats for the next 3 months. Once I returned to Houghton Lake in May I went to another salon and had the Best! customer service and treatment. We did the same full head highlight treatment, but also had additional deep conditioning treatments, and I only paid 160.00. They even sent me home with free product to further help the previous damage. This time I only sat in the chair for 4 very relaxing hours. I’m very angry that we ended up having to cut 6 inches off my hair from all the damage done by La Vie carelessness. La Vie is NOT a professional place of business. It’s ALL about nickel and diming you. In all I spent 665.00 for them to destroy my hair in 2 visits. Whereas, in 1 very professional visit down the road from La Vie, I spent 160.00 and my hair is finally in beautiful shape and the color is simply gorgeous.

Sabrina and her girls are always the best. I’ve lived here 10 years and rarely treat myself. But when I do, Sabrina has always been my go to. And today I stormed into her salon upset at the barber across the road for breaking my sons heart, and even though they do not even do boys cuts here, they took my son right in and did an INCREDIBLE JOB!! When we left my son had the biggest smile and said “this is the best day ever” because they gave him the very cut he had his heart set on. Thank you girls so much! You’re truly the best 💜💜 I’d give 10 stars if I could!

Love the girls that work here, I’ve been a customer for 5 years, and I always leave happy and my hair needs met. Sabrina does an amazing job and she built a great business. I feel welcomed and comfortable in her salon. She is a great business woman and mother, and fights like h e l l for both!

Sabrina is an AMAZING hairdresser and an amazing person in general. A smart successful business lady who compliments our community as to what a strong business woman should be. I did my own hair for years but once I went to her I stayed with her, since she first started in the community years ago. I would never change and I would let no one else touch my hair. My daughter in law & grandkids go there too. And I recommend her highly to everyone.

I was able to book an appointment quickly & Brittany did an AMAZING job! Cut & color was exactly what I wanted. I left feeling like a million bucks & it is very affordable. The environment is great & the girls are very welcoming & friendly. I would recommend this salon to everyone.

I was in a rush and the young lady that works there waxed my lip and eyebrows. The cost was more than reasonable and I appreciated her eye for detail.

Very professional, very nice atmosphere. I've only gotten my hair lifted and colored here but they did an amazing job. If you're looking for a place with experienced Stylist and not someone fresh outta school I highly recommend. It's hard finding good skills in a small town. I'd travel along ways for my appointments because I know they do great work.

Ah-mazing salon. I am thoroughly impressed with the exceptional professionalism displayed by this salon, warranting a commute of nearly an hour and a half for my appointments. Sabrina consistently demonstrates a keen understanding of my demanding work schedule, and accommodates me accordingly. Their expertise is evident, and I would highly recommend this salon to anyone seeking top-notch services.

I have been a client of Sabrina's since I moved back from Las Vegas almost a decade ago. I have followed her to Cadillac and back, and I would do it again. Sabrina and her staff are so friendly and talented and always have the best customer service and produce quality results. My hair is always stunning after I leave and exactly what I asked for. 10/10 recommend!

Needed a new salon and stylist after moving to the area from downstate. Decided to try La Vie En Rose because of the good reviews. So happy with the cut and color Morgan gave me. I love how all the girls work together to make their clients happy. Cute place too! Highly recommend! Adding to my original review I just wanted to thank Morgan once again for a fabulous color and cut. I just love the color-it’s perfect!
