The team at southern roots was amazing for bridal hair! Rosemary and all the stylists and other team members who pulled together to get my party out on our timeline helped alleviate any wedding stress I had around hair. I was extremely happy with how my updo turned out for the day. Thanks for helping me feel my most beautiful :)

Highly recommend! I just had my first appointment and was a truly wonderful experience. Taylor talk with me, listened and gave me suggestions on my highlights, which look wonderful and a great haircut! Very warm and friendly staff. Found my forever salon!

10/10 would definitely recommend! From the moment I walked in, and was greeted, I knew it would be a great experience! From the personable staff to the chic rustic feel of the salon, it was exactly what I needed! Not to mention, the fantastic job Mandie did on my hair! If safety is a concern, the distance, mask requirements, and sanitation was top notch! I will definitely be back, and recommend everyone stops in as well! Brandi, Mandie, and the entire staff have gone above and beyond to provide a wonderful range of services. Southern Roots is the gem Calvert county needed.

Amanda was amazing! She listened to my wishes and helped me make decisions on hair color, style and length of cut. I'm extremely satisfied with the end product. All the stylists were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere in the salon is very relaxing and enjoyable. I finally found a salon that I will return to again and again.

Highly recommend! I love the atmosphere there and always feel welcomed when I walk in the door. My stylist, Mandie, is amazing! She knows the look I love so my cut and color are perfect every time! Always a fun and refreshing experience and I know I can always count on this salon to have me walking out feeling and looking my best.

Amanda's my stylist and she does an amazing job! I have never been disappointed and you won't be either! Everyone there is professional and friendly. Every time she is done the other stylist tells me how amazing my hair looks. Since new ownership the salon looks better than ever!

Love my fresh trim & color by Mandie! Not only was the salon quite adorable & boutique like, the professionalism & kind conversation was beyond comforting! She offered to replace my mask if the dye had done any damage (I was wearing the standard blue ones so I didn’t mind the dye) but it made me feel incredibly safe to know that precautions were taken & compassion was also taken into consideration. She did an incredible job finding the best color for me & had me walking out of the salon with a new found confidence 🤍 Prices were beyond fair so I even got my brows dyed & snagged a few hair care products which were also available at a great price!

Southern Roots is one of the best salons I have been to, from the friendly atmosphere, to the professional and talented staff, it is an amazing salon to go to for all your hair necessities. Rosemary is extremely talented at styling hair and making intricate designs and is one of the best stylists for prom. Mandie is a color theory master and if you want a fun wild rainbow colored hair or the latest ombre trend she is a definite must see! And Brandi has always made me feel valued and makes my hair always look shiny, healthy, and beautiful! These girls are fantastic and you'll not be disappointed by them! They always strive to get you looking your best!

These girls are the best. Amanda has been doing my hair for years; and I’m pretty picky. I’ve followed her here to Southern Roots and it’s a beautiful salon full of helpful, friendly stylists! I highly recommend. My husband and kids also get their hair cut here by various stylists.
