Great Clips

I get my hair cut only at Great Clips. Rachel only cuts my hair. She give a perfect cut every time. She is very very good at what she does. I thoroughly enjoy talking to her while she performs her magic.

My hairstylist was Rachelle, The haircut started fine, but once I left my confidence is in shambles. I got a decent wash, the length looked okay. I only wanted 1-2 inches off, then when I told the girl I wanted layers she cut them the shortness I wanted, but she didn’t consult with me about me “needing” my hair FOUR MORE INCHES SHORTER TO ACCOMMODATE THE LAYERS. She cut off half a foot of hair from my head, I feel like I’ve been scalped! People say that you won’t notice a few extra inches but PEOPLE DO NOTICE. My husband had to fix the layers with toenail clippers in the car after I cried for an hour AND IT LOOKED BETTER THAN WHEN I LEFT THE SALON. I have gotten the same haircut multiple times with the length I had (about to my hips, now it’s far far shorter) and afterwards she told me she was hesitant about cutting the layers, if you are hesitant then TELL THE CLIENT. I would have been so much happier if she said no to the layers and I just got my ends trimmed. The cut was uneven, the layers were choppy, I had layers in the back then suddenly none in the front, it seems like she didn’t understand anything about how to cut layers in hair when she’s been working at great clips for a year. If you want an even length then it’s fine, but if you want layers and a stylist that will give you a good consultation then go somewhere else.

The last time my husband went in he was left in the chair mid cut for over 20 minutes while his hairdresser chatted it up with the scissor sharpener man. Today tried to go in at 3pm. We were greeted and told there would be a 25 minute wait. No one was waiting in person but there was one ahead of us. We were also encouraged to schedule online. I don’t mind waiting but it’s a Monday after 3pm with only one stylist on the floor? Currently watching my husband get his hair cut up the road at Sports Clips. Twice was enough for us!

First time I went here in Big Rapids and Angela done a GREAT job on my hair. She listened to what I want and by golly I got it...I was very happy with my cut and will be going back. This time I had Rachel because Angela was on leave. I love my cut that Rachel gave me today.

Great location!! You can check in on line to save your spot. Very convenient.

First haircut in many years and was a bit nervous. But ..Rachael took GREAT care of me and gave me a very nice trim and layering!

I've got my hair cut here 4+ times during the last 6 months. My thoughts.. The stylist are Cute, their friendly, they know how to cut hair. The Manager should get a Raise, Place is Great:)

I called ahead of time as I live quite far away and I knew it was walk in only or by online appointment. I got out of work and headed straight there. I arrived at the salon 45 mins before they closed. Over the phone they made it sound like they would he able to take me. When I got there she said she was unable to. A bit frustrating considering I called to make sure there would be enough time. I wish she would have been honest over the phone and just said that it was too late. Giving them a 1 star because this has happened more than once, and the last time I took my mother here they absolutely botched her hair. I cannot make online appointments or I would as my phone won't allow me to.

First time coming here. I love the great clips in my hometown. I had Leeza has my stylist, she did a great job and was quick! I just got a trim. We had a fun chat! Will be coming back.

I'm 40 and literally the worst experience ever and I had to pay 20. Don't recommend. Literally had to go home and fix my hair. I had bald spots around my ear. This hairstylist also kept mouth breathing on my face and her breath stunk. Then she blew the hair dryer right at my eyes and got hair in them.

Ashton doesn't like his hair cut but I do and the woman took her time and did an excellent job!

She took 5 min to cut my hair. Dry. Chopped the top part of my head short so now I have a curly mullet when all I asked for was a small trim and layers around the face. I'd give zero stars but that's not an option.

I wanted to get peak a boos don't and got told they don't do that. For anyone who don't know what peek a boos are. It's where the die your hair different colors underneath to where when you move your hair it pops out. There loss not mine

I was lucky & got right in because I went at a quieter time of the day. Ebony was great & did my trim just the way I wanted. She made sure I knew what she was going to do & offered suggestions.

One of their stylists jabbed my son inside his ear with her scissors when trimming already short hair, and never said a word even though it drew blood. It was not noticed by us till after we left. wouldn't take my kids back if they paid me.
