THE NAIL SPA

After going to The Nail Spa for a few months now, I do not want to go anywhere else to get my nails done. The technicians here always do a phenomenal job. Cindy especially has immaculate attention to detail — my natural nails have never looked so perfect. I’ve gotten extensions here too before from Summer and they came out gorgeous. Would definitely recommend these amazing nail artists.

Absolutely loved my experience here! The place is clean and relaxing, and the service made me feel so welcome and cared for. I came in to get my nails done for graduation, and it was the perfect choice—Sasa was amazing! She listened to everything I wanted, made adjustments when I asked, and was so thoughtful the whole time. The result was a total work of art, especially for the price! Couldn’t have asked for a better graduation gift. Hands down, this is the best nail salon—if you’re thinking of getting your nails done, don’t even hesitate. 10/10, would recommend to everyone!

I went to The Nail Spa this morning as a walk-in right when they opened, and they took me in right away. The salon is new, clean, and very welcoming. Lynn did my Dazzle Dry manicure and regular pedicure — she was efficient, gentle, and finished everything in about an hour. I loved that they had a separate person giving a relaxing shoulder massage while you’re getting your manicure, such a nice touch! I paid $80 in cash for the services plus $20 in tips. I’ll definitely be back!!

Amazing job done by Lynn. She takes her time and listened to my concerns after coming from another salon. Everyone was so nice. They really care about the services they provide and care about doing a good job which is hard to find. Other nail salons just rush you along and do a bad job so it was nice to come here and have the complete opposite experience. I got Gel-X with new extensions. Lynn was so detailed with my manicure and it came out beautifully. Thank you!

I was so happy to see this salon open up in Belmont Center and they do not disappoint. I have walked by the salon on my way to the commuter rail many times and decided to take a chance and treat my team at work to pedicures during the holidays. I am so glad I did! The salon is brand new, clean, bright, and spacious. I did call ahead to reserve since we were a group of 5 around lunch time on a weekday. They did a great job on our pedicures and almost all of us added on dazzle dry manicures as well! Both the manicures and pedicures held up well and looked great. I have been back a few times since and have always been pleased with their work and the quality of their service. I am looking forward to getting my nails done there again soon!

The experience was very pleasant! I really was blown away by the massages. But if I’m being honest, the end result wasn’t particularly great, especially considering the price. Regular pedi and gel mani was $95+tip — reply to owner — I understand high quality deserves higher price points and I’m willing to pay for quality. But I left the spa with two cuts that bled (one on my toe, the other on my finger) and a smudged big toe nail (pics attached). And I didn’t really get the style I came in for. My tech was very nice and I’m not trying to get her in trouble, but for the nails (the reason I came in) I left not feeling good for paying as much as I did. Now if I came in mostly for the friendly environment, great massages and add ons, I would be thrilled. It’s just not the end goal I was looking for, which is why I think 3 stars is fair.

My mom and I have been to this place several times in the past nine months, and we originally liked it because it was close to us. We even registered for a rewards program which we never received. We got the dip manicure every time but we rarely got our cuticles cut even though they desperately needed to be cut; if they were cut, it was AFTER the dip was applied, so our ‘manicure’ looked like it was two weeks old. This time, we did pedicures too, but my toenails were cut extremely short without being asked if I wanted it cut or not (and this is extremely bad for ingrown nails, as the lady doing my nails said I have) and she kept cutting areas on the side of my ingrown nail I explicitly told her not to cut. My mom experienced this same thing too with her toenails, as well as her cuticles on her hands as well. Due to our general lack of satisfaction, my mom left a $5 tip for each nail artist, and gave the manager at the table the fee for the services rendered. After all was said and done, when we exited the salon, the manager came out and started to mansplain to us that, if we were satisfied, normally in the US (which was racist too, as I was born and raised here and I’ve lived here all my life, and my mom has lived here for 30 years and has been getting these services for even longer), you’re supposed to tip 20%, and he started to argue with us about that right in the middle of the sidewalk outside the salon. We reminded him that, if we’re not satisfied, we can tip less and that tips are generally optional depending on satisfaction, but his attitude was completely unacceptable and it was the nail in the coffin for us and that nail salon.

Highly recommend! This new great addition to Belmont Center is incredibly clean, professional, and relaxing. Staff was polite, informative, and welcoming. The 10 minute foot/leg massage and 3 minute shoulder massage with my White Tea Spa Pedicure was actually timed and so nice. They’re still doing a grand opening promo discount, but will definitely be coming back even when that goes away. (I did not receive any compensation for this review. I just really loved it)

The manicurist/pedicurist was the opposite of gentle. He held my toe so tightly and dug his own fingernail into my toe. No joke, it hurt for 20 minutes and nearly broke the skin. He apologized when I exclaimed, but it was strange. Then the woman at the register was simply rude. She was like stone. I won’t be going back. Plenty of other salons.

Have been going here on and off for a few years but quality of service has been declining. $40 for gel manicure which is done without any attention to detail (sides are not done well and gel is not applied close to cuticles). Disappointing

The Nail Spa in Belmont has become my favorite nail spa! While I want to keep this a secret gem, I have to share that I am obsessed with their service, spa, and especially Summer!! Gel X is the service I get, however, prior to Summer I did not have any good experiences with it. She is amazing!!!
