Dillard's Salon & Spa at Fayette Mall

Melissa is an incredibly talented and professional hairdresser. I took my mom to see her for a consultation and color/highlights, and my mom was absolutely thrilled with the results, it was beautifully done! Melissa was so patient, took the time to fully understand what my mom wanted. She offered thoughtful, kind feedback, and still delivered exactly what we asked for. Her high experience, honesty, and gentle approach really stood out to us. Beyond her skills, Melissa made my mom feel completely comfortable and cared for, which meant a lot. We were genuinely inspired by her work and her character. My mom is already looking forward to see her again!

I would not go here even if it was the absolute last option of a salon to go to. The customer service is very bad and the receptionists are rude. We arrived to the salon and asked if they take walk ins. We were told we would be helped shortly with trista. We waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes. The receptionist never told us our appointment time. It was not until we left the salon we received a text that our appointment time was 1:45pm and 2:30pm it was already 2:00pm by receiving this text. I was back in the salon at 2:30 and was told my appointment was canceled. They no longer had me in the system. They also do their services on a sliding fee scale and could not guarntee a final price of my haircut. The prices online and the prices listed in salon are also diffrent. I first agreed to be seen at 2:45 until I learned their services are sliding fee. I canceled my appointment. Go to great clips or cost cutters instead and skip the drama for cheaper! $30!!!! The first picture is online pricing and second is in salon. The receptionist went as far to say call cooperate if I have an issue. I hope cooperate will start training staff better otherwise you will loose customers. After reading reviews we are not the first this has happened to.

I called Dillard's Salon today at 2:00pm today to schedule an appointment for a haircut. I asked the receptionist if by any chance they had an opening same day (if not, no biggie), and she said she had a 5pm with Melissa. I booked the appointment and showed up 5 minutes early. When I checked in, I was told Melissa was "running a little late". When I asked how long, she said about 15 minutes. In the meantime, I ran to the restroom in the salon, and noticed there was only one stylist (Melissa) and two clients still being serviced. Given the circumstances, 15m seemed like a gross underestimate. At 5:30, I asked again about how long she thinks she might be. The receptionist told me she'd go ask, then proceeded to count the entire till. 15 minutes later, the went to check and told me it would be another 25 minutes. At this point, I was done. Waiting for over an hour is beyond ridiculous. The receptionist also mentioned the other stylist that was supposed to work that day called in sick, and that was why she was running late. If she knew that, then why have me come in at 5pm, knowing the only stylist is already booked simultaneously and working on two other clients already? Given the circumstances, why book me at all if they knew there was no way I could be seen at the time I booked? It is extremely inconsiderate to keep someone waiting this long with no apology or regard for my time. I have worked in a salon and understand appointments go long and stylists run late, but this was way beyond running a little over. The lack of professionalism is appalling. Do better, Dillards.

Melissa is the absolute best!!!! We're so grateful to God that we found her! She is so friendly and can do the perfect cut without a picture, just with details of what you want. I get compliments everywhere on my hair now! She's just AMAZING!!!!

My favorite person to go to is Melissa. She is so sweet and always does a great job. Daffney cut his hair for his first cut a couple months ago and did an amazing job and was so patient with him. Recently my sister brought her son for a hair cut (second one at this place) and the Asian lady who cut his hair said “next time don’t bring him here”. Awful customer service. Never had such an awful experience. Obviously she wouldn’t spend the money if she knew how to cut hair…

I’ve been seeing Tricia Brown for a while now, my sister a whole lot longer, and she always does the absolute best job. I’m a mixed girl, so my hair can be pretty stubborn and thick, but she knows just how to blow it out and get it to stay straight for a good while. I don’t let anyone else mess with it, I definitely recommend seeing her, especially my mixed girls.

Anna does a great pedicure. She is very thorough with the care of my feet, and my nails always look perfect. She does one person at a time, and the salon is very clean. I highly recommend!

Love, love, love Daffney! She does such a great job with my hair color. It looks so natural. I have thick and somewhat curly hair. Daffney dries and straightens my hair with just a brush, yet she's able to get it straighter than others do with a flat iron. I highly recommend her.

Alaina was AWESOME!!! Drove in and didn’t know where to stop to get our hair cut but so glad we decided to come here. She is great. My son and I have difficult to style hair and she was able to get the s looking better than we have in a long time. Thanks, Alaina!!!! We will definitely be back.

Anna always does a fabulous job on my feet ! I won’t go anywhere else for a pedicure . She’s scrupulous about cleaning and my toenails always look great!

I was very pleased to find this salon, on the third floor of Dillard's. It's spacious and the design of the rooms is very interesting. My stylist, Melissa, did a great job with my blow dry. You could see she is experienced and skilled. The people at the welcome desk were very polite and helpful. Will visit again.
