High Tech Nails

When I say this is the best nail salon in town, I mean it! My very first time getting my nails done here was back in 2019. I’ve been loyal to them ever since!! The staff are all very friendly and genuine! The vibe in the salon is what originally what made me want to go back. They have a good music playlist, a clean salon, a HUGE selection of color (I’ve never seen a salon have more color options than they do) and more! I usually get my nails done by Gina, but will occasionally have them done by her sister or her husband, and even they are amazing! No one there has ever nicked me or hurt me in ANY way, in the past 5 years!! And I have ALWAYS left with my nails looking so clean and smooth!! Reading previous reviews, I honesty felt attacked and I don’t even work there. However, I am an independent hairstylist and I will say, if you have 2+ no call/no shows, you will most likely be asked to find a new salon. It’s how the beauty industry is!! So just keep that in mind!! Their prices do go up occasionally, just like any other salon, but they are still very reasonably priced!!

I went to high tech nails and spent $40 on a “gel-manicure” and this is what they look like after 3 days. I’m just really disappointed because I feel like high tech normally does a decent job. $40 does not feel reasonable for a paint job that lasted 3 days

The most only reason why I’m not giving it one star is because I actually had a decent experience the first time I went here. Got a mani/pedi with gel. The second time I came all went well until it was time to pay. Their system glitched mid transaction so despite my bank account clearly say $65 was deducted from my account, they told me the payment didn’t come through on their end so I ended up paying another $65 on a different card. Had to jump through hoops to get my money back. This most recent time I waited 10 minutes just to be turned away because they were short staffed and couldn’t accommodate giving me a pedicure. Certainly not the worst spot to get your nails done and it is just down the road from my apartment. Nevertheless, I’m put off by the overall experiences I’ve had there and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I got a pedicure and manicure done here two weeks ago (acrylic tips with dipping powder) for my brothers wedding. I got the manicure on Saturday and by Wednesday three of the nails had come completely off (pictures attached). I was in FL for the wedding so I couldn’t come back into High Tech Nails to get them fixed. I had to pay to have the other nails removed before the wedding only 3 days after paying $45 to have them put on. Aside from the poor quality manicure, I am most disappointed with the customer service response I received when I called. The owner was not apologetic in anyway and offered no refund or compassion or anyway to make right the situation. She just said I should have come in to have it fixed and since I didn’t, there was nothing she could do. I was in FL for my brothers wedding, so I was not able to come back in to get them fixed and my husband called as soon as we returned. Giving a rating of one due in part to the poor quality, but mostly because of the poor customer service. To not even have received an apology for the manicure chipping three days later and right before a wedding, was very unprofessional. Nothing was down to make right the wrong- I wouldn’t recommend spending your money here. UPDATE: In response to the owners comments, we did contact them within 14 days of service, but also explained in our call to them that we were out of town just after the appointment for a wedding and there was no way to correct the issue at their nail salon. It doesn’t seem like they took the time to listen to my concerns either in my review here or in the phone call we placed.

I treated myself and my daughter to a gel manicure after her college visit at ISU. After less than a week I have 3 nails that chipped, my daughter does too. My daughter told me the station she was at was very dirty and she was covered in glitter ehen she got up. She did not have glitter polish put on.For the money I spent this should not be happening. The worst part is we live so far away I can't get them fixed.

This new nail place is my all time favorite! They have the best techs in town. It is very clean and you feel welcomed, at home and most of all comfortable. I have done a pedi, full set with gel and today I took off and tried powder and love it! Mike is my favorite tech of all times and I'm glad he is here! This is a family establishment and they welcome you with open arms!

Great people. Clean atmosphere. Nice price. Amazing job. They have a lot of options for nails and I wanted something simple, matt gray with a sparkle accent, and I'm so happy with it!! I'll definitely be going back!

I will not go any where else. I absolutely love the business they provide. They are kind and always do a great job! My daughter that is four gets her nails done too and they are wonderful with her. The place is extremely clean and modern. Highly recommend! 💅 …

Was recommended to go here by a friend. Had an amazing experience. Vincent was so good. He did stuff I have never had done before to my nails just to have them last and look good longer. He also showed me a new technique of using a magnetic strip to create a cat eye. I'm in love with it. Will definitely be back and telling all my friends.
