This is what a $60 dip manicure looks like three days later. One by one, every single nail fell off. I’ve never had this happen with dip before. They get two stars for doing a decent gel pedicure and having a nice looking salon. I won’t be returning.
This was my first time in this salon because my favorite nail artist, Lilly came to this location. It’s about a 25 drive for me from Newark but it’s so worth it! The pedi chairs are super comfortable and they are in a separate area from the manicure area, adds to the relaxation. Lilly is a fantastic nail stylist! I have being going to her for a few years and it’s worth the trip to come see her! If you’re looking for a new salon/technician, give Lilly at De’ CoCo a try!
Probably worst nail experience I have had. I just moved to the area and was trying to find a new place to go to. I went to just get a gel manicure. Taking my gel off and getting repainted took longer than 2 full acrylic sets next to me. The time wasn’t the issue. When getting the gel paint filed off my nails, the nail tech continued to file even after the color was gone and was filing off my actual nails. When I explained that it hurt he continued. They didn’t have the color I wanted, but I selected another, my nails were painted and I went on my way. I am not one to complain, and truly was not going to. That appointment was over a month ago and since my nails have split and cracked every single day. If I even tap my nail on something it automatically will split even into the cuticle because of how brittle they were from having the actual nail filed down. I have to wait until the nails completely grow out from the service to get them redone because of how sensitive and breakable they are. I have never had an issue with my nails breaking and now constantly have splits into my cuticle. I have to keep cutting my nails down to keep from breaks. Though hopefully it was just that nail tech that was not good, I would not recommend.
I love De’Coco salon! My favorite ever. They offer everything you need, not just nails…. Eyelashes, eyebrows, eyebrow tattoos, waxing, and much more. You will love the chic decor! Conveniently located! Highly recommended!
Tina is the best tech that I have encountered. She is very professional and offers healthy advice. She is able to replicate any design and the spa pedicure was heavenly.
I had the worst customer experience ever here. My full set was done as the last appointment of the day. My tech, Annie, rushed my nails and kept assuring me they would be translucent after top coat. She top coated and they did mot become translucent, even she looked confused and tried to wipe it off but she wasn’t professional enough to offer remedy. I called that night to complain and had to call again because I didn’t hear anything back. The receptionist was great, i told her I would be going somewhere else and she assured me that I could come get them fixed by the owners wife who is really good with designs and also informed me that they had issues with this nail tech before. I arrived and was completely ignored and then when I was recognized. I had 6 women crowded around my nails discussing them in their language only for them all to tell me that they are fine. They sat me down with the original nail tech who literally can’t do a straight line to do a different design. hey charged me 100$ for this set and tried to tell me that it was 85, I left immediately because I’ve never felt so disrespected as a client in any capacity. I will NEVER patronize their business again. Even the so called talented technicians looked at my hands and said they were ok to avoid working “for free” to fix the,. Greedy people and horrible service. Go to kingdom spa or envy nails, this place is a beautiful joke. I gave it two stars because it’s pretty, oh and the wine is a lie, they don’t have that or offer it.
Save yourself the trouble. Don't go. Walked in to see what services they offer, pricing, ask to make an appointment, etc. Girl at the front desk didn't greet me just said WHATS THE NAME? Completely taken aback I said, excuse me? The name? She screams back WHATS THE NAME? So again I said, the name? The name for what? Then she says for the appointment. No smile, terrible attitude. Well I didn't say I had an appointment, I wasn't greeted, I wasn't asked how I could be helped. What a joke of an establishment.
Wish I could give a fat ZERO!!! They allow walk ins… we went to get a full set and fill. It was 4pm, hours say 5:30pm on Sundays they close… the receptionist was literally yelling for someone to do the jobs but they all yelled out “no”. Talking about come back another day it was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 nail techs sitting on their phones… oh kicker… there wasn’t one other customer there everyone seated had aprons and mask on…just looking I could easily make this about race but it’s enough of that going on…it was bad for business, weird, and cringe nonetheless…ALL trashy AND CLASSLESS BEHAVIOR! Do better!
I have been coming here for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it. Anna is my nail tech and she does a great job every time. The rest of the staff is nice and professional and the salon is very inviting and well kept. I highly recommend coming here.
My mom went to this salon on two separate occasions simply to get her acrylics removed, and both times she was treated in an extremely rude and dismissive manner. She wasn’t asking for anything complicated—just a basic service—but was met with attitude, dismissiveness, and impatience for no reason. What makes it worse is that this isn’t the first time we’ve noticed unprofessional behavior. There have been multiple instances where the receptionist at the front desk has been unnecessarily rude or short with clients. We always try to support local businesses, but the lack of basic respect and customer service is unacceptable. I truly hope this isn’t how they treat people on a daily basis, especially older or quieter clients who simply want a service done and to be treated kindly. A little courtesy goes a long way.
