Hollywood Nails

So I’ve been going to Hollywood Nails for a few years now and it’s only because it’s so close to home. The man, owner, is very rough with your hands and does a terrible job with acrylics. I recommend Amy if you go there for any nail work. She speaks the most English and does great customer service. I’ve been burned when getting my eyebrows waxed and sometimes they’re a little uneven but it’s barely noticeable so while I continue to go back, I don’t recommend this place to someone who doesn’t live close by. These are the best pictures I have of the nails I’ve gotten from Hollywood sorry they’re not cropped lol.

Got my ankle rubbed here as part of a pedicure. Felt great since my tennis injury when I broke it. Great experience!

Took my daughter there for a bonding day had a great experience with it being the first time she got her nails done but spent 100 dollars for both sets that started to come off a week later when usually they last longer

I read the horrible reviews and almost did not go to this salon. It was open on Sunday and my nail tech is out of town. Maybe they are trying to do better. I had a very nice experience. A gentleman named Yang introduced himself to me and made small talk before starting with my fill. He was meticulous about making sure my nails were perfect, holding my hands up to the light to inspect them before filing again. I was the only person in the salon from beginning to end, so there was no rushing. Because of the reviews, I was afraid for him to do a repair and remove the old nail. He used another nail to remove it and check in often as as he went along to make sure I was ok. Based on my experience, I would return. If I receive consistent service like this, I will recommend Hollywood Nails to others.

You know when you read some google reviews you think to yourself oh it’s something that didn’t go right and someone is upset so they left a bad review….. NO listen to the reviews. I went here a couple of weeks ago for a fill in, the gentleman was rude and very rough. He burned my nail beds quite a few times and when I pulled back he pulled my hand back. He pushed my cuticles back with his dirty nails. Doesn’t he realize that cuticles are the easiest place for an infection. The price I was quoted was $44 and that was with designs it was $10 extra for design. I understand that, but I changed it up and didn’t want a design out of fear they wouldn’t be done right so I went with a solid color. Those were not even painted correctly, polish was everywhere on my hands and nail beds flooded with color. It was $36 which makes no sense because I didn’t get a design and it should have been $34. Please trust some of these reviews.

Amy did a great job and was super considerate. Definitely coming back. I got a full set 4 weeks ago (in picture) with no fill in, and they still look great ! :)

Very nice place . Got ti me right away. The young lady that done my feet was wonderful.

If I could give them zero stars I would have. We went there because it was convenient. My granddaughter needed her acrylic nails taken off, perhaps I should have been more specific about that when I requested his service. He began to rip her nails off. When she began to cry (she’s 13and this is NOT her first rodeo) I ask him if he could soak them off (like you’re supposed to). He started throwing things but did eventually do it the right way. I went back in two days later, by myself and against my better judgement, for a fill-In. Well, $55 later, my nails look like an 8 year old did them three weeks ago. No thank you, NEVER AGAIN!!! Believe me make the drive to Lynchburg, or wait on the other nail salon in Appomattox, do not waste your time and money with these rude people! Just saying

I was very happy with my nail service when I get the acrylic nails or a pedicure. I love having my eyebrows done by the man of the shop. He does a great job each time. The only complaint is the manicure. That never seems to come out nice. Facility was clean. You wear a mask if you want at this point.

My son had his eyebrows waxed at Hollywood nails in Appomattox VA . He received second degree burns on his brows and eyelid. The wax was clearly too hot. Poor service by the man, name not known, but he is the owner. Avoid this place!!! Many commented on my FB post where they too had the same issue and other major issues with him cutting people and saying, “you did it”.
