This place is not only a hair salon but also a “little gems” kind of shop. I walked in because I fell in love with some clothing that I saw through the front window and ended up buying some adorable pieces. The lady that attended to me was super kind and attentive. Place was super clean and cute. Even the lady that was getting her hair done was sweet enough to allow her to come and take care of me and my purchase. Nice place all around!😊

Got my hair done here today by Cammi. I’ve been getting my hair died blonde after it naturally blonde, turned brunette for about 15 years. This is by far the best experience I’ve had. I was blonde already, but not at my goal and not only did Cammi achieve my goal in one sitting while maintaining the health of my hair, but the whole appointment couldn’t have been better. The whole staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The owner is very sweet and considerate. Before my appointment, I read the reviews and unfortunately someone left a bad one for Cammi specifically. As a business owner I could tell it was absolutely illegitimate, from a customer that felt inferior because of Cammis, youth, beauty and talent and let me tell you that person was completely wrong for the review they left!!!!! Cammi is an angel and made the whole experience so much fun, but most importantly IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND TALENTED. Anyone who has a problem with her, especially specifically for her youth is clearly just old and unhappy with themselves and projecting. This is everything you could ever want from a hair salon and stylist Do not discriminate towards her. If anything she should receive extra commendation for being so talented and experienced . She is no less an expert than anyone else in there and surpassed with flying colors the 15+ year experienced stylist I used to see (who did hair for Hollywood). I will be a forever customer and I couldn’t recommend them more. I will tell everyone I can how amazing it is here. (Bonus points for them, they had snacks for my waiting husband and the Poppi soda they gave me was great, never had one before)

Salem has been such an amazing hairstylist. I have had extensions for years and when I moved to Lynchburg I was concerned I wouldn’t find someone who would understand the journey I was on. I lost so much hair after having my baby and Salem has cared for my hair every step of the way helping it to be healthy, grow back, and keep my hair safe while using the best technique there is for my hair extensions. My hair is healthier than it has been in a very long time! I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to do color or extensions in this area. She is kind and literally let me just cry in her chair my very first visit with her. Prices are fair and much lower than what I paid in Texas! She is amazing and you won’t regret letting her work her magic on your hair!

This has been the very worst salon experience I have ever had. The owner, Salem, is very rude and unkind to her clients and employees. I have only been going to her for 7 months. Every time I go, she has lost someone else. When I have shown pictures of what my hair has looked like for decades, she claims that she can’t to that. If I tell her I am unhappy with the color, she gets mad. She makes things feel so tense and complicated. She charges 2-3 times the amount that I paid in high end salons in FL and she has never once got even close to what I needed. I hung in there hoping that she would eventually get it right. When I had to change an appt due to a family health emergency, she canceled all my appointments that I had made several months out accusing me of ridiculous things like emotional manipulation and hurting her business. I have only ever had wonderful experiences and friendships with my stylists. So this was a first for me! I encourage anyone thinking about trying this salon to look elsewhere. Her prices are insane! And her work is horrible. Hopefully she won’t be in business very long since she can’t keep employees or clients. Yes, it’s really that bad! Update: After finding a good stylist and someone who cares about hair health, I found out that Salem owner of Bloom Studio claims to have a special way of doing weft see in extensions. I thought I could trust her….. then after I discovered many other people who have been hurt by Salem, I found out that the way she secures the beads is to loop the hair through and crimp down the bead on folded hair. This fold when left in over 3-6 weeks becomes brittle and breaks the hair. The new stylist found many areas of broken hair all along the line of beads that had been previously put in. I always asked her why I had so much hair loss, when i have not head any for all 5 years almost of having them. Salem lied to me. She told me it was because of well water (we have a high end filtration system). Then she tried to sell me a special thing for my shower head. I have been sought out after my initial review from one of her previous employees. She question Salem on her hair extension clients and she was fired. This person wanted to remain anonymous because she has been threaten by Salem. We now have pictures and have been advised to cease all communication with her and the salon. This is as bad as it gets. I will not go back and forth with her on Google…. But the bottom line is this: if you don’t want your hair to break off and you want to be treated well, don’t go to Salem. There are other really great options, some of them are her previous employees who know of her and have seen the damage she has caused so many. If anyone wants pictures or advice on who else To go to, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Bloom Studios was such an amazing choice for my wedding day!!! Salem Hicks, owner, is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Her talent and skill is unmatched and her execution of it comes with such ease, peace, and kindness. Everyone was so happy with their hair after having it done the morning of the wedding and felt absolutely so confident, gorgeous, and the best version of themselves. Salem’s team was so kind and professional and made wedding morning such a sweet memory! Salem went ABOVE and BEYOND on wedding morning, helping tape me into my dress, remediate a spray tan disaster, and touch up my hair countless times during our rainy wedding morning. She was so patient, sweet, and offered such a calming presence on wedding day. It is a gift I can never thank her enough for. If you are thinking of booking Bloom Studios for your wedding, PLEASE DO!

I 100% recommend Bloom studios and Salem is the best hairstylist! I had a bad experience at another downtown salon and went to Bloom very hesitantly! Having such a traumatic experience previously made me so nervous to get my hair done again, but SALEM DID SO GOOD! I had to have a color correction and I started with black zebra striped blonde hair and left with a natural, gradient, and perfectly toned balayage! I also have natural black hair and we were able to lighten it which came out so beautiful! I also felt that the salon worked so good as a team and always helped each other out! Thank you Bloom Studios!

Bloom Studio is BOSS!!! Cami does a great job! I knew what I wanted, shared a photo and told her to do what she needed to do to get as close to the picture as possible! Cami, hands down did a great job!!! She may be young…but she’s got this y’all 💯! I also watched the other stylists do a wonderful job on the other girls that were there at the same time as me with all different styles! I will definitely be back! Cami, heads up you are now MY hair stylist!!! Love my hair and I’ve gotten sooo many compliments! Thank you sooo much! 💖🥰😁

I went to Bloom to have my hair colored for my first time and get a considerably shorter haircut. Being new to getting my hair colored I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, but I explained that my goal was to enhance my natural hair color and Salem definitely delivered! Even though they were fairly busy I felt Salem and the team did a wonderful job making me feel like I had a personalized experience. The team works very well together to take care of their clients. The entire staff is incredibly kind. The environment is very chic and they sell a lot of quality products.

This is probably the worst hair appointment I’ve ever had. I was given an inexperienced 18 year old to do my hair and I didn’t find out until halfway through the appointment. I showed her my inspo picture and asked for curtain bangs instead of the ones in the photo. She clearly didn’t listen and cut them way too short, not to mention that she cut my hair dry which is a big no no. When it was all done, it was completely unstyled and it looked like I had just rolled out of bed. I DO NOT recommend getting your hair done here Adding something else, because I found out that this place is for trainees to practice on hair and get better. It would be great if they would advertise that. I think the fact that they only had 3 stylists should have been my first sign. But I found out from a ton of people at my school that they DO NOT recommend this place. And if you do go here, don’t ask for an edgy or risky haircut, because they obviously can’t handle it. I asked for a mini shag with curtain bangs and I got a Dora the explorer haircut, I had to fix it myself. Cried the whole way home

Absolutely love Bloom. Salem and her girls are extremely talented and her boutique is the cutest. These girls rock. As a professional who owns her own business, I can appreciate the experience Bloom delivers. Salem has created such a chill, warm atmosphere in her shop. She always listens to what I want and works hard to get my hair to where I want it; if it’s something that she knows might no work just right she explains the reasons why and then suggests an option she knows will work and I’ll love. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a high quality experience and product.
