Pure Lux Spa

I always have THE best experience here. I went here and few years ago because another place gave me a terrible experience. So i had a man named Andy and he did THE BEST nails ever. I don't live in denver nc but I do work there so when I'm in town I always go to see him to do my nails. I wish I would've taken pictures of the last ones he did...AWESOME.

So normally I have a good experience at pure lux as long as I ask for Tammy but one of them men did my nails this time. I got them done Saturday morning before Easter, today is Wednesday and already have lost one (which is the only one that he had to reapply whenever I got them filled in). For the price I had paid for them it just aggrevates me to have had two with the paint peel off (as pictured in the first and second picture) the third day of having them. I was hoping to have kept them on at least a week for a big work event for my boyfriend coming up but they didn’t…. Will be having to go somewhere else to have them redone.

4 hours later……. Before we started we were not informed that taking off our gel polish wasn’t included in pricing ($5 for nails and $5 for toes), they also charged $15 extra for gel nails (even though mine were acrylic), $15 for gel on my toes, $15 for gel on my daughters nails, $15 for gel on her toes ((normally don’t get gel for her but the regular comes off within a day))… also almond shape is an extra $5. …. so just to start, we were already spending $45. Needles to say, 4 hours later my total was $205, with tip $250. NEVER AGAIN. Also, my hot pink pedicure color has a deep color under it and they look like shit. My daughters chipped off and broke within 3 days. Her toes did the same thing. They are charging top line prices and using shitty products. Do NOT recommend!!!

I am never disappointed when I go, Andy always gives his best and is the sweetest. His work speaks for itself, I can tell him exactly what I want and he delivers. Very affordable for the quality.

Tammy is amazing! Always does an excellent job. I’ve been going for about three years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The girls that do my toes are very good. I had a fungus and she cut it out cleaned it and packed it to heal.

Tammy is the best! Quick but very professional! My nails have never looked this gorgeous. I’ll see her in a few weeks to get my nails done again for my wedding! Can not thank her enough. Plus the staff there are extremely friendly. Highly recommended

I came in here to get a full set of acrylics, what i got was not that. i asked for short almond with a milky white color and i was then given a short set with every single nail being a different shape, a horrible paint job where you could see every single brush stroke and fuzz and hair being in my polish. i called to come back and get them fixed. i was told i would not have to wait and to come in asap. i came in the next day and i waited for 45+ mins. i was sat down at the same lady who messed up the first time and when she asked what was wrong i told her and she began to raise her voice at me. i immediately got red in embarrassment and went quiet. at the end the manager who is extremely nice came over and apologized and made sure i was actually happy this time and then the lady said sorry. will never be back.

I walked into this pure lux spa in Denver NC for the first time ever Saturday before memorial day to have my gel polish redone. I was nicely greeted but then rushed to pick a color. Then the guy grabbed the basket of color swatches and urged me to have a seat. This was 1030 in the morning. What is the rush? I stated that I was undecided about the color based on what I was seeing. I was handed the small basket of color swatches that I just stated I was disinterested in and that I was looking for something neutral. I felt uncomfortable as I was rushed to be seated and the tech began sanding my nails, I thought to myself, it's ok, I will be on my way soon. Then said to the tech, I will take this color, choosing the best option. The nail technician left, came back and said, "we out of that color"! He the urged me to chose color from that same basket. First of all, I didn't have time to look and choose before being rushed to be seated. Then find out those are the only colors options this huge salon had to offer, after he'd already sanded my polish off? Whoa! Additionally I didn't get to discuss what shape I wanted before the technician started shaping my nails to his desire. UH... I am the paying customer and it was too late,. After being charged 43.00, which included a 3.00 card fee, I noticed my nails were not smooth, but bubbled up??? I have been to many nail salons and never has such an awful experience. Worse? Yes! This is what my nails looked like one week later on the following Saturday. I had to go to another salon to have them fixed costing me more $.. The nail salon that fixed my nails said that it was old polish and applied too thick causing the to bubble and peel. What a horrible experience. I will not return.

I've only had to go to another salon a handful of times (when Pure Lux is closed or I'm out of town), and no other salon does the job Pure Lux does. They can do anything I ask, are quick, and whenever I break a nail or mess one up, they immediately get me in to fix it.

Always professional. They don’t take long but do high quality work. Very sanitary. Love that they will give you the design you want with just a picture! Highly recommend

Tammy did great with my dip French manicure!! Very realistic looking and she was quick!!! Will be back for sure!

Great selection!! That’s about the only good thing. Rude nail tech, didnt do good, didn’t seem very clean, polish seemed old, took forever. Won’t be back.

I took a picture of what I wanted and I got this. It's very close and I do love it. Only thing I did not like was the price. I also ask for glow in the dark, and these do not glow 😥. The girl who did my nails was sweet and very talented. I'm overall happy. ❤️ …

My daughters and I enjoy going to Pure Lux. They listen to what we are looking for and my toes have always been perfect! They make my short nails look great every time. The staff are friendly and our usual techs make sure to see us even when I don’t make and appointment.

Nails were done by Rachel. She is super nice and particular about shape and how they look which I appreciate. They don’t seem to have people that can do intricate designs, but for the quality of what I got I am good with that! The nails I chose other than one, on a different palette glow in the dark!

I had a great experience at Pure Lux yesterday. John did an amazing job and it was easy to communicate with him. Would definitely go back! I also thought the pricing was very reasonable.
