Star Nail

I went there yesterday because literally no one else could get me in last minute. I saw how bad their reviews were on Google and yelp but I decided to try them and just get something very simple. Even plain acrylics were apparently too difficult. The guy who did my nails was extremely rude and even smacked hands a few times because he didn't like how I was holding them. As you can see in the picture he didn't even cover my whole nails with the acrylic. They look grown out already and it's been less than 24 hours. Also the place isn't ventilated and smells very strong. Bottom line I would recommend steering clear of this place.

Very friendly people. Expecally when you get to know them. Love getting my nails done there. You do get what you pay fore but that do an amazing job for being so cheep

I’m from out of town just wanted to have my nails done. Remove gel polish and put on different color. Not very friendly and the machine to put nails in wasn’t working properly. I know how these work not my first rodeo. Please fix machine and don’t treat people like they don’t know what they’re doing. nails when done little rough spots, I asked to smooth rough spots and gentle said what you want me to do. Umm smooth rough down. Not sure if I’d use this business again.

If I could post this review with zero stars, I would! Never ever again will I be giving my hard earned money to these people. The pathetic excuse for a pedicure was missing the leg scrub & message. There was no foot massage nor any callus removal option. I asked for gel polish.... BIG mistake! In my experience, gel polish usually is a $5 upcharge. The lady proceeded to charge me $15 for gel polish. Then the lady was extremely rude when I asked about the high charge & obviously did not have any care if the customer was happy. Too busy watching their soap opera to care about repeat business. Thank God I didn't get a design, since they couldn't do one anyway. So for $50 I got a terrible pedicure that I could've done at home for free! My advice, don't go!

I love this salon and the workers in it. I've never encountered any racism. My nails are always good looking when the gentleman finishes them. He may gently pat my hands at times when I'm holding my fingers in his way, but he never slaps them. They have done my nails for prom and they were great. Called today to see if they had any openings. They fit me in at noon, and were very pleasant! My nails are extremely short bitten and they are still able to do acrylic fakes for me. I love this salon and the owners are amazing people.

Went in to get my nails done. The guy (didn’t get his name because he did not say one word not even hi) smacked my hand with the nail file. He didn’t laugh or make a joke or anything. He then refused me to get regular polish. They didn’t have the color I wanted in gel. So I found a green color similar to what I wanted in gel and it turned light grey under the light. I told her I didn’t like the polish as he made his wife polish me. She rudely said I would have to pay more to change the color. Needless to say I will not go back and definitely did not give a tip. Not friendly people at all.

I am currently sitting in the establishment after having a wonderful pedicure. The nail technician was very pleasant. She did an excellent job on my toes. I called and requested an appointment giving only 2 hours notice. They happily accommodated me. I will definitely be back.

Two toe infections both times, went to complain about bad service after 1st time told not foot doctor. You try again do better wasn't better. No problem with taking money, will make trip to TD nail's in Grandforks never have problems there and don't get scolded by manager. Farther to drive with better quality and atmosphere .

My friend Amber got her nails done about two weeks ago from another place in town. They already fell off so we called around. When I called Star Nail the lady had a very inviting and nice voice. We asked her if she had any openings and she said yes we could just walk in. We sat and talked to her the whole time and she was laughing with us and was super sweet. The other place they didn't even talk to us. I'm not sure why people gave such horrible reviews because we had a great experience and I and Amber both highly recommend going. She did an excellent job on her nails. They look great.

I walked in and politely asked if they had any openings to get my nails fixed since the acrylics were old. The man literally laughed in my face and said "no way." He was no help when I tried to ask to make an appointment later that week. So I will not be even attempting their services. You do not laugh in a potential clients face that way. Very rude and unprofessional.

Worst salon ever. Charged 85.00 for an 8 year olds mani and pedi. Took under 45 minutes for both. Rude and mean. Didn't even have a crystal to put on my grand daughter's finger. Don't waste your time and money.

SO VERY RUDE! they are not considerate at all. I walked in 30 min after they opened and simply asked if they could fix ONE NAIL that had broken .. they said no. Period. Not that they could try to fit me in or anything. You’re telling me that the whole day they don’t have 5-10 min to fix ONE NAIL?????? that’s a joke

This is an awful place. Trust these reviews 100% they are racist and rude. I went in a few years ago with a horrible experience went back because the other nail shop was full. And hoping there would be new ppl in. Nope the same rude ass ppl still work there. If you're black please dont even waste your time.

This nail salon doesn't offer quality service. They thin out their polishes. The gel on your nails is left thin and chips quickly.
