I am so glad I chose Maria at Great Clips. It feels so silky, swingy, soft and healthy. Maria was great! Very professional. I will continue to come back to Maria from now on.
Decided that since I was in town, I'd get my haircut. I've been debating getting it cut super short for a while now (it was almost to my mid-back). I looked at the wait times for both Great Clips-- Baxter and Brainerd. 80 minutes for the Baxter Great Clips and only 10 minutes for Brainerd. Must be my lucky day, right? WRONG! There is a reason why there was such a short wait time--BECAUSE THEY SUCK! I started by showing the hairstylist photos on my phone of what I was looking for. I admitted that I was having second thoughts about going so short. She was all for me only getting it cut to shoulder length. Probably because it would be more work cutting it to the super short hairstyle I had originally wanted. After all was said and done, I was in and out of there within 10 minutes and now I'm stuck with a crappy hairdo that looks like a toddler cut with a pair of dull scissors! So be leary of a short wait time-- there is a reason why this Great Clips is not very busy!

I arrived fifteen minutes before my Brainerd Great Clips opened. Three other customers were waiting outside the door. We know how to beat the crowds. I don't mind early Saturdays because Sandy is usually ready for me when the doors open. She's been cutting my hair for years. Great haircuts at reasonable prices. Perfect for a busy author. The best part is that I get the cut I want, not a wild chop job. Thanks Sandy! See you in 2024!
gave my partner a haircut that was way shorter than what he asked for. Cut too much off the sides and top, and did a horrible job on the fade. I warned him coming here they have done with in the past with my hair last year. Went in asking to have my hair trimmed to my shoulders and layers fixed, and came out with a bob that was up to my ears.
Stopped this morning, they said 2 hour wait, they put me on the list and said come back at 2:30, came back at 2:25 so I wouldn't be late. They said over one hour wait. Come back in 45 minutes. I went to Goodwill and looked around for 40 minutes and came back, still over 1 hour wait. I could not wait any longer and had them take me off the list. You wasted over 1/2 of my day. Your bill is in the mail. Very disappointed to put it mildly.

Checked in online had 25 min wait time which I arrived 15 min early. The girl at the counter she asked me if I checked in and I said yes and gave her my name and I sat down. I waited over half hour and then I noticed they were helping people that were after me and I left so i could do my errands. They skipped my name. Called to speak to a manager she wasn't there and I was talking to the girl who answered about the issue and she said she don't handle complaints, she didn't apologize for them skipping my name nothing...Managment or not if you work with the public you should have manners...at least say sorry that happened and feel sympathetic towards the person who has the complaint.This is the 4th time I've had issue's at this location not going back again.
I wished I had seen the previous review from a week earlier. The same thing happened to me too! I was told to come back in 1 hour. When I replied that the Great Clips app showed it would be a longer wait, the stylist at the counter said the GC app was not working correctly and was not reporting wait times accurately. I then responded that the store could message me through the app or text or call me directly when I was 2 haircuts away. The stylist replied that they could not do that, and insisted that I should return in 1 hr. I did what she said, and when I asked how much longer the wait was on the store’s screen , a different stylist told me there was 1 customer ahead of me, so I sat down. I watched 3 more people get called before me. I was very upset, and ironically the stylist who told me that there was 1 customer ahead of me, 3 customers ago, called my name! I sat in her chair, and she put the gown on me. When she said she didn’t understand what my regular GC stylist notes were on how to cut my hair, I was stunned. I then told her to take off my gown and that this whole situation was a complete waste of my time, and I added that she was the one who personally told me there was 1 customer ahead of me, when 3 more customers got haircuts before my name was called. She never made any attempt to respond, explain, or apologize. She only showed me a print out of tmy GC haircut note that was in their system, as if I was supposed to interpret it for her. She never said a word, and I walked out, telling her that I would never return to this Great Clips store. The stylists in this store are very uncaring, inconsiderate, and unprofessional!
My kid loves going here to get their hair cut. They loved their cut the last time we went. Only complaint is how difficult it is to walk in and get a cut. Even if you "check in" first you aren't guaranteed not to wait a half hour.
