May's Nail Design

Recently moved from Miami to Boston and I’ve been trying to find a new nail salon home. May nails came highly recommended based off reviews in the area of west Medford. I decided to stop by and I had Lisa as my nail tech who didn’t provide the best experience. She was frustrated any time I shared any feed back or asked for my nails to be re-filed. She proceeded to say that she’s not cutting down my nails but I simply asked her to provide a more square shaping not to cut them down. She kept aggressively grabbing my hand and being unreceptive to my feedback as a paying customer. I also sat there from 12:30-2:15 watching all customers pay as they left and she rudly insisted I paid before my nails were painted. The entire experience was honestly uncomfortable and I won’t be back. I originally made my appointment with Tim and somehow got this lady Lisa. Regardless the only nice thing during my time at Mays was having the owner May provide me with the Wi-Fi since the service in there is a dead zone. After leaving I realized the paint job on my nails as poorly done and there were bubbles/and final coat was missing on the end of the nails. 1/10…. So disappointed. The search continues for a home nail salon. Definitely won’t be returning here. OH and above else she kept blaming my previous nail tech for how poorly she was shaping/doing my nails. If you are refilling them whatever the finalized product looks like is on you. Do better May nails.

Classic nail salon, call ahead for an appointment. They are kind, meticulous, and reasonably priced. Glad I gave them a try!

Called ahead and made an appointment, even tho we were late, they still honored it and did a beautiful job on my nails. I got dip and they pay attention to details to make it perfect! Not super pricy or busy and everyone wears a mask so safe for the Covid conscious!

Tam was wonderful and had great attention to detail for my acrylic full set. He was also able to repair and even out my nails that were a little damaged. Highly recommend!

Gel manicure. They always do a good job. In an out in one hour. I like how they always take their time to clean my cuticles and file the nails.

My partner and I were looking for a place last minute to get pedicures and they were able to accommodate us. They were very nice and did a great job! My partner had a bruised nail and the lady working was able to take it off and clean it. I also got a gel manicure and they did a really great job! I will definitely be going back.

Lovely nail salon that's been there for 20 years! Wonderful manicures, gel, acrylic etc and pedicures. Tons of colors to choose from & the pedicure chairs have back massage function. They have plexiglass dividers between all of the manicure & pedicure stations. Everyone there is very nice & does a wonderful job. Highly recommend! As I always mention in my reviews when relevant, going here supports a small, female & minority owned business.

Best nail salon experience I’ve ever had. The owner is incredibly kind, thoughtful and pays close attention to every detail. Even though it was 30 minutes until closing, he accepted me as a walk-in. 10/10 experience

TOP NAIL SALON IN Arlington, MASS. They treat you like a Queen! I set up an appointment earlier in the day bc we don't live nearby. They even waited for me after I was late. Amazing work.
