Queen of Braids / Kollo ‘s Hair Braiding

Hello, I was looking for someone who was available for walk-in's. My work schedule does not allow time for schedule appointments, so this place welcomed all three of us with a next day schedule appointment. Which was GREAT for me because we were scheduled for an appointment at Sunday @2:30pm, we arrived about twenty minutes before and sure enough they took us right to our seats to begin with our hair appointment:-) We were ALL finish by 7:30/8pm. Horrible horrible I will never step foot in this shop again this business again.. Customer service was horrible, Had a appointment for 8 and was first in line but the lady behind me got in the chair first. the braider that I had was rude , pulling on my hair brushing very hard , parting my hair with a clip. Jeeking on my head , walking away for 20min at a time .Not asking if I needed to take a break .I could tell they where talking about the customers in the shop including myself in there own language, which is very rude and disrespectful. When she finally finished I got no thank you nothing no have a nice day NOTHING at all I spent 200+ in there to be treated like this is very uneceptable... TEACH your employees the meaning of customer service The only one that is nice and a good braider in this. Shop is Ms.Lisa which is who I asked for but got someone else

I was pleased to be able to get a last minute Sunday appointment. I had had Fatuo she took her time and worked magic on my hair. Management and a couple other braiders better people/social skills .

Past experience was great. Today’s experience was very unacceptable. I made an “appointment” and was told to come at 8:30 am and it was four more people there with me before they even opened and said they had the same time appointment . The owner & workers were late and they opened up shop late. Once they opened those 4 people were seated and started on. While working on the clients, they stopped and started on other people coming in. One client even came in and sat in the owners chair and began to get her hair done and then had to leave for 45 minutes and while the owner just sat there and joked around with her workers. I sat and waited 3 1/2 hours. And still wasn’t seated or started on. I will not be returning. That was the most unacceptable and unprofessional experience for me from this business.

So rude & nasty when you have any other reaction than loving the style. The quality of braiding has declined dramatically. When I complained about my hair they were rude, nasty, & dismissive. I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted & she didn’t do that. The stylists kept giving me the run around about speaking to the owner. They told me I would have to come back in a month for a refund. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I heard the stylist next to me give another young lady the same rude treatment when she didn’t like how her hair was being done. She didn’t finish the style & told her to go back to the other person who did her hair.

I came here Friday to get some tree braids. What I got was a style that looked like a toddler did it. The front was braided somewhat correct, but in the back was f***ed up! I live an hour away and I called and spoke to the owner about the problem. She told me to come back up and that the stylist, Junka would redo it. Well, when I arrived, she was not on yet. Well when she did arrive, she came at me in the wrong way saying that her boss made her come in on her day off because I didn't like my hair. She then told me that she had to sew loose plaits up in the back because my hair was too thick. Pure BS! I would think that she would've had a problem if my hair was too short to catch up, not the fact that I actually had hair of length. She told me that she would cut the thread out but that was all she could do. I paid this chic $170! She's complaining about she don't feel good and that everyone does tree braids different. Her attitude was nasty and service was awful. I do not recommend anyone to go to this chic if they ever go to Kollo's. She acted like she did my hair for free or something. Junka does hair like a kitchen and front porch stylist. Lucky for her, I promised my friend that I would not act up about the situation. Normally, if you get my money for services rendered and the job is not satisfactory and you catch an attitude about it, you will get cussed out and possibly taken to small claims court. I'm still mad as hell about it.

I'm late making this review but I think people should know I came here to get my hair braided afterwards I told them I was paying with a card she informed the card machine was down. I told them I would go get cash but that somehow steamed into an argument she informed me an ATM was across the street I told her I would go but she wanted me to leave my I.D. my phone and my purse I stated I would leave my I.D. due to not wanting to leave every item another argument started she then tried to fight me. After that she decided to ride with me to the ATM. I gave her all of the money and took her back to her business. I've been going to them for years and after this I would never return. They are great braiders just bad customer service... The wait time is horrible also. The one who tried to fight me was the light skin one she's the only one who always wear heels. Never choose her her attitude is Bad!

Pros and cons. Unprofessional with appointment times.. They do not know how to communicate with customers or handle complaints.. So be aware if you make an appointment it doesn’t mean that will be your appointment time; you will be waiting hours and hours or sometimes sent to another location because other customers will be booked on the same appointment time as you.. They will also tell you to come on a particular time and day and want have anywhere to place you when you get there, again you will have to wait until an available seat is open. The pros is that they do great hair.

I ❣️it!!! 😍 My appt was@9am. I was out by 10:30am. Lisa was very professional, kind, and works very fast. Style includes hair which was a deal closer for me on choosing salon b/c I hate going to the hair store!!! Lisa, you won over a new client. Thanks so much. …
