came here today as a walk-in and my stylist was so nice, she talked with me pretty much the whole time and was very detail oriented. i have short curly hair and have had a bit of a hard time getting it exactly how i like, but she is so skilled with making it look good. i can’t remember her name (😭 sorry, very bad with names!) but she did such an amazing job, she listened to what i asked and i’m really happy with how it turned out, will be returning :)

I went here for about 4 years and got my hair done, by 3 people there. I definitely recommend Amanda! She ALWAYS colored and cut my hair, the way I wanted it! Most importantly, she has the best customer service!!! She is such a good person. You can tell she truly cares for her customers and truly loves what she does! If I were you, I’d request to get your hair done by her! She always made getting hair done, such a good experience. She’s the absolute best of the best!

Way over priced. I went there with my daughter and was quoted a certain price and was charged 1300 that’s too much. Not to mention my daughter only got one side of her hair colored and they charged 500 for her, it was quoted at 350, then they tell me 550 and charge me 800. I take my niece in today they want to charge 610 for color and a hair cut. Don’t go here unless you are rich.

First time here! I'm always nervous with a new barber or stylist. The folks a True Colors were able to accommodate me as a walk in. They were really nice and helpful on the phone. Ms. Minnie was tremendous! She was able to re-create my favorite old hairstyle from a pic, and she gave it a cool new updated flare-vibe. I am super happy with the results! Thank you Minnie!

The staff at this salon is wonderful. The stylists are kind, and the front desk is friendly. However, I’m giving one star because of the owner, Angie. In 2022, I had my natural black curly hair colored by Angie herself. We discussed avoiding bleach because of my curls, and I explained I had never colored my hair before. She insisted I had and that bleach was necessary to get the color I wanted. My mother, who had never allowed me to dye my hair until I turned 18, had to argue with her. Eventually, Angie agreed to do the color without bleach. The result was a maroon-red, which I loved, and it was posted on their Instagram. Fast forward to 2025, I decided to go for a dark brown balayage and a cut. My red color had long since grown out, and I had cut off all the red sections. A couple of weeks ago, I had a consultation at the salon. The stylist was very kind and quoted me $280 for the color and cut without bleach, stating it could be done without it. If bleach was used, it would be $480. Since I didn’t want bleach, I was fine with the quote. I don’t recall her name, but she was helpful and courteous. The day of my appointment, I was late, so I understand the two-hour wait. When I finally sat in the chair, the stylist asked for reference pictures, which I provided, and explained how I wanted the brown to look on my hair. She confirmed it could be done without bleach and just needed to ask Angie for the right colors. Angie came over, didn’t look at my pictures, and immediately said I’d need bleach to get the brown. I explained my hair was now all natural black, with no red left, but she dismissed me, stating the red would still be in my hair because it had been less than four years. I reiterated that I didn’t want bleach to preserve my curls and avoid the extra cost, but she ignored my concerns. She even said, “I have curly hair and I use bleach.” When I reminded her that she had previously colored my hair in 2022 without bleach, she again insisted I needed bleach. She didn’t offer a test strip or even look at my inspiration photo. Realizing I wouldn’t get anywhere with her, I left the salon in tears, feeling completely dismissed and disrespected. Afterward, I went to a nearby salon for a same-day consultation. The stylist there was confused by Angie’s insistence on bleach since I had no color left in my hair. She did a test strip with the brown color I wanted, and 20 minutes later, my hair was the exact color I desired. The price for the entire service, including the cut and styling, was under $200. The moral of the story is that Angie seemed more focused on maximizing profit than ensuring customer satisfaction. She tried to push me to pay nearly $500 for services I didn’t want, only for me to go to another salon that quoted me less than $200. I’ll never return to this salon because of Angie, but I have no complaints about the staff who do great work.

I loved the atmosphere of getting my hair done it was like I was in a live European party 🥳!! Really there is strobe lights there, the lady's are friendly, the place was so clean and perfect for relaxing... I will go there again next time I'm in Anchorage next time I hope to see Angie! Tatiana was available for a walk-in. She showed some grace for my child as she cut her hair. Overall hair cut looks good but will not be returning for children’s hair services.

I had a real hair emergency and I needed some expert pro help and Angie did amazing. I had a huge knot in my hair and I knew I was going to loose a fistful. But she reminded me that it will grow back and even more made my hair beautiful again!! Thank you 🙏🏼 thank you! 😁❤️
