MA&ME NAILS SPA

When I moved to town 3 years ago, the bad reviews on here stopped me from trying this salon. This is now my third time getting my nails done here and every experience has been better and better. First off, the salon is very clean and super stylish. The nail techs are all so friendly and actually engage in conversations with you rather than ignore you the whole time. Prior to coming here I was getting SNS on my real nails done every two weeks at another salon in town. EVERY TWO WEEKS! My nails were lifting on the back ends causing water to get in and I had to get them redone cause otherwise mold happens and that’s not fun. I just had this gorgeous ombré done June 4th and my previous visit here was on May 1st. THATS A MONTH that they lasted! Makes me and my wallet happy. I’ve had two pedicures here and both have been a great relaxing experience and the techs are very careful. I avoided pedicures cause my two big toes are prone to ingrown nails and for some reason I usually get infections after pedicures. Both times my toes were left feeling rejuvenated and no infections whatsoever! Now I feel for the people who left bad reviews and had a bad honest experience. Maybe it was different techs then? because Sam, Linda (tech who did SNS in pics), and David have all done a wonderful job and were very friendly. I recommend this place 10/10 and will continue going back!

First time ever coming here. Had a little bit of a wait but not to bad. The lady that done my nails was fast but they turned out really good. I will be coming back for sure. Especially since they are open on Sundays!

I went on Sunday March 2nd and wanted a full set with Matte black paint. Pretty simple. The acrylic doesn't cover all of my nails and the paint has already chipped off my nails because there were bubbles. I also asked for oval and he gave me square with rounded sides. I'm gonna have to go somewhere else to get these fixed because I don't trust to go back there and have them fix them. Waste of money.

I've been coming here for over a year and see Jeannette consistently! She's very gentle but efficient and always slays the designs I have in my head. I make an appointment online, which is so handy, and if there's a wait it's always short! I'm usually in and out in 45 minutes!! After going to other salons in the area, I can say this is the best one!

I love this place! Very clean and does an amazing! Sam always has new and creative ideas! Can't wait to get them done for fall and Halloween to see what he comes up with!

March 1st, 2025 1 PM. I went in for a mani/pedi combo. Everything was great. The tech was awesome but, I had to leave before my nails were dry because there was a couple that had a small child getting their nails painted and she was coughing all over the place. I have surgery in 3 days and couldn't risk catching something before surgery so, I'm sitting in my truck with the heat on to dry my nails. May 17th, 2025 Because of cancer surgery and radiation/chemotherapy treatments I hadn't had a manicure or pedicure since the previous appointment on March 1st. I had let all of my nails grow out so that they could be precisely cut the same length. The pedicure felt amazing and the tech was really nice but, my feet are still rough and my toenails are all cut at an angle. When it comes to the manicure, the tech that did it the first time was too involved in what was going on in the station next to me . There was a guy there getting his nails done to match his ladies nails and the tech that was working on my nails was all up in their business. When he was done with my nails, my cuticles weren't trimmed properly, the corners were sharp, they were half painted and had a lot of dried polish on the skin around my nails. I asked to have them redone by someone else. The girl that redid them did ok but, because the files that they use are not suitable for real nails, my nails are half as long as they were when I went in. The nail files for artificial nails are not meant to be used on real nails. The gel polish that they use is laughable. This has been the case with both salons that I have been to since moving to Kentucky. The technique that they use is also ridiculous. Once gel polish is set, it should never be disturbed. However, because of their lack of polishing skills, they file the edges. As soon as the seal is broken, the gel polish is no better than regular polish. Breaking the seal by filing allows for dirt and oils to seep underneath which causes the polish to crack and peel. I expected way better than this for $143.00 Buyer Beware.

My friend and I went for a girls day and it was horrible. My pedicure went great, while my friends went horrible, the guy didn’t know what he was doing so someone ended up taking over. Our nails, both are atrocious. The lines on mine are uneven, they don’t go all the way to the sides, and the acrylic doesn’t cover the entire nail. I had 3 broken so he fixed them, my toes were $30, he said my nails were $55, but the total was $102. My friend got normal French tips, 4 acrylic tip (would’ve been only 2 if the girl didn’t break them while filing), 2 are crooked and don’t even look like normal nails. Her total was $102 as well. Will not be going back, we both have to go to a new salon to get them fixed, so more money to fix something that shouldn’t have been needing fixing in the first place.

Very disappointed! She cut the side of my toenail off before I realized. It Hurt and that is how you get an ingrown toenail. Then for the manicure she changed the shape of my natural nails to a pointy oval shape making my fingers look short and stubby. Didn't ask if I wanted the same color on my fingers just went ahead and put the same. Polish came off my fingernails the next day.

Got a pedicure. Nails cut to short and are jagged. Polish on skin wasn’t cleaned off and also didn’t cover all of nails. Also charged 20.00 for dnc nail polish you can buy the entire bottle for 6.00 and said it was special gel polish lol. Will not return

Ma & Me is great! Ms. Jasmine was a delight to work with and did a fabulous job! I’ll definitely be coming back! Much less expensive than 2 other places I called first and they had sooooooo many color choices! More than I’ve ever seen at a nail salon and I’ve had mine done in Louisville, Indy, Miami, TN and several other places! They do gel, powder/dip, regular polish of course, paraffin, they have several types of pedicures available and even have two child sized pedicure chairs - frozen and minions!
