Unfortunately I got what may be the worst hair cut I’ve ever had at this salon :( I had very high expectations for almost $100 and thought this would be the perfect place for a curly cut. I was very clear about having a side part (it was discussed more than once actually and I arrived with my hair parted correctly), but my hair was cut totally uneven for the side part (which is how it’s parted in the attached photos) or even a middle part?? And I certainly never asked for bangs. Literally the entire right side of my head has been cut above my shoulders but no where else was so I legitimately have two different hair cuts on each side of my head 🥲 I would assume that someone with experience in cutting curly hair would know that cutting one side shorter than the other would be a BIG deal bc now It’s not only shorter on one side but also way curlier. Now I’ll probably have to cut my hair way shorter all around just to get the layers even which is wild after spending this much already.

It has been over a month since I saw Melanie and I have just completely fallen in love with my hair. When I left the salon, it was the first time I have ever walked out with a haircut that I loved. I feel confident in not only the way my hair looks, but in my ability to take care of it. Melanie gives very thorough advice on how to care for curls. I had no clue my curls were so dry. With the recommended products, my hair is saved. She opens up her space for as many questions as you want and she has a professional answer. She knows what she is doing and this is why I would 100% be back. I have handed out three cards of hers because I cannot recommend her enough. Great experience at You've Got Curls! Melanie took time to thoroughly discuss my hair goals and dislikes, familiarize herself with my curl structure, and make recommendations before giving me a precise and flattering cut. I'm so happy to have found someone who can work with my curls! Added bonus - she's a very nice and interesting person, and we had a great chat. Really glad I found this salon, and recommend it highly!

But I tell you, your hair is going to be the best part of your month. So when you get comments after your excellent hair treatment, be sure to tell people you went to You've Got Curls.

I went to Melanie for my 1 year trim and follow up after she Did my big chop in 2017. Before arriving, she asked me to make sure that my hair was washed, and dried. Once I arrived (be fore my scheduled appointment time) at You've got curls and was in her seat She said " So what all would you like for me to do because we do not have that much time"..... One, How rude is it to talk to your clients that way, when we scheduled the appointment and you knew exactly why i was there (unless you misplaced your appointment book?!) After setting in her chair for less than 15 minutes and JUST getting my ends trimmed. (Which she mentioned that my split ends were very little for waiting a whole year) she charged me $60!! The price was outrageous for 15 minutes and the way she talked to me as a paying client was VERY unprofessional. I actually thought I liked her. In other words, I'm currently looking for a New salon to Trim my Beautiful Natural Mane

Melonie knows what she’s doing when it comes to curls. She got my frizzy mess back to ringlet curls and I’m happy to say my wash n go is back! She will tell you like it is, I had to get a few inches cut because the hair just wasn’t going to be thick and healthy with all those scraggly ends.
