Kerrie Brandau’s Bio

It is a beautiful thing when passion and purpose come together. Salonch founder and CEO Kerrie Brandau found that passion and purpose in solving a plaguing problem in the beauty industry by creating Salonch.

Cosmetology was Kerrie’s first passion, spanning 30 years as a full-time hairstylist. She began her career in the San Francisco Bay Area and quickly developed a full clientele. Many of those loyal clients have followed her throughout her entire career. In addition to Kerrie’s passion for the beauty industry, she also pursues her creativity as an artist, specializing in oil painting and bronze sculpture.

Kerrie and her husband George opened Brandau Brandau Salon & Spa in Los Gatos, California. It was an employee/team-based salon. The Brandaus enjoyed managing the salon while also mentoring and training the team. After many years of ownership, the Brandaus sold the salon and moved to another salon to work as independent stylists.

When they sought out a new place to work, they were met with a challenge – finding a salon that would be the right fit for them. Also, as former salon owners, they experienced the need and challenge in finding the right professionals for their salon team.

Kerrie is committed to helping both the beauty professional and the beauty establishment owner find the right team fit with Salonch.

George Brandau’s Bio

The youngest of eight children, Salonch co-founder George Brandau was born and raised in Santa Clara, California, right in the heart of Silicon Valley, where he still lives and works today.

As a young adult, George worked in a surgical scissors factory, which lead him to join forces with his brother Nevin and establish Brandau Brothers Scissor Company, selling and sharpening high-end scissors in salons all over the San Francisco Bay Area.

Working in different salons each day sparked his interest in the beauty industry. George attended Cosmetology College at night and received his license in 1989. His first industry job was assisting a platform artist in the salon and at hair shows around the United States. He developed a loyal clientele and has enjoyed a thriving career for over 30 years that continues to this day. George is also a Board Certified Haircolorist.

George and his wife Kerrie opened their salon and spa in Los Gatos, California, Brandau Brandau Salon & Spa. After owning the salon for many years, George and Kerrie sold the business to allow for more time to enjoy their personal passions while still working as hairstylists. George’s other passion is music. He began playing drums at age 13 and has just released a new album with his blues band, Chrome Deluxe.
